jk Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 http://www.madison.com/wisconsinstatejourn...ports/68228.php A touching story about a chronically ill child who was adopted by the Badger hockey program. College hockey is great. Quote
MinnesotaNorthStar Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 Still not a Badger fan, but a great story none the less. Great to see teams doing stuff like this for the community and people in that situation. Quote
redwing77 Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 It's touching to me. My father is a cancer specialist. Even though he doesn't really work with kids, he works really hard to help people like Andrew and such. He knows that community support may not cure cancer, per se, but it does have a tendency to prolong the life of the person afflicted. Quote
UMDDogz Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 He knows that community support may not cure cancer, per se, but it does have a tendency to prolong the life of the person afflicted. And it certainly imporves the QUALITY of life. Hats off to the BADgers on this one. Not enough to make me cheer for them though. Quote
