Jones has some talent on this team - however, when you have guys complaining about not getting the ball enough or when you have guys at this point in the season with no clue what their shots should be this is what you get. Jones recruited these guys - time to coach em up.

Agree 100% on everything you said. The players have no clue and Im beginning to think the coaches have no clue who should be shooting what. Again for the 10th time, Huff and Allard should never ever shoot a three. Again last night they took 5 of them and didnt come close to making any of them. We have 4 players shooting a very good three point percentage but they aren't the ones taking the shots. Its time these players are coached what is a good shot and what is a bad shot. Alot of bad shots were taken last night again which caused long runs of little scoring. Granted not having Webb, Mitchell and a limited Brekke hurt but it was the same thing with poor shots and lacking defense. I really dont know what the coaches are looking at when they watch game films and see the same players doing the same bad shots and poor shot selection.

What do you want Jones to do? He can't fire or replace the player's as the season goes on.

The coaches can preach until they are blue in the face to the players.

Lots of successful coaches out there who can manage to get these kids to play the way they want and do what they want. I could list them, but you know who they are. Bill Fitch would have these guys running the whole practice w/o the ball until they got what he wanted them to do. The Bison put 4 sophs and a freshman on the floor just like UND and get more consistent play out of them. Jones is not the answer to this program moving forward. He has needed to recruit a few big men for the last several years and has failed. He also needs to get the players he has to play the same way every game. It is not happening.

Do you think recruiting will get better with us in the Big Sky? Or will Jones continue to muck it up.

Actually, good coaches don't have to "preach" to their team about how they want them to play. Good coaches have players that work hard and buy into their system. If you are continually preaching to a group that doesn't pay any attention, they you have big problems. Name any successful coach who has players that just do things how they want on their own. You just can't get a group of reasonably talented players and turn them loose or be shy about confronting them or sitting them when they don't listen. This team could go either way. It's up to the coaches.

I think it will get better, or at least he might get the attention of a bigger, talented guy once in awhile. He seems to have found a way to get some talented players, but without size. I really do not understand why he cannot pull one or two of the big kids out of the Twin Cities. There are some really good big kids in southern Minn. He also will need to get into the cities like Denver, Omaha, Seattle, Milwaukee, Chicago, St Louis, etc. and get a kid or two every year that is just not quite good enough for the bigger name schools in college BB. It is not going to be easy, but if you are going to play D1 BB then make the effort to play it at a consistently high level. The "hockey school" label does not help either. Need to play that correctly to turn a kid's head to UND.

We obviously do have big problems cause the same players are making the same mistakes in most games. We have very good talent in the sophomore class and when they play together as a team we can play very good basketball. The problem is when they play as individuals nothing is done by the coaches and when very poor shots are taken by the same players nothing is done. There is still plenty of time left in the season to make these changes but time is running out. The future should begin right now with making these players understand their roles and shots. If not the season will be lost and most likely the next 2 years with this class.

It's going to take another 5 years to get a decent basketball team together. Going through transition doesn't work well and the Bison are truly the exception when it comes to that. Although I haven't watched your team and know nothing about your coach, be patient. It's going to take time.
