the green team
The Sioux played Chicago St on Thursday Night. Left Chicago Friday morning, with their connecting flight to Newark in Detroit, Once in Detroit, the flight to Newark was cancelled, forcing the teams to stay the night in Detroit. Because of the cancelled flight the next day the only flight the teams could get into NYC or Newark was via JFK, they got into Newark on Saturday Night. Played Sunday and returned home Monday. That's the best they could possibly do, I don't think playing in this conference is cost efficient, I can't argue that...but it is what is. and it will have to do, for a while, otherwise there will pretty much be no basketball after the new year once all the other teams around the country get into conference season. That's likely the reason for the Detroit layover. Would imagine nearly all UND-sponsored business is via Delta.
