In the spirit of octopus-throwing Red Wings fanatics, fans at the University of North Dakota have been known to toss, say, gophers and badgers on the ice when Minnesota and Wisconsin come to visit. Bet they're glad Alabama doesn't have a hockey team. Saw this tidbit in the Seattle newspaper. The Sioux would kick some 'bama butt and find a way to get an elephant on the ice.
