For anyone who knows anything about wisconsin prospects this year that the sioux may be targeting.

One player is Taylor Gabriel (6'4 275) (OL from Manitowoc, Wisconsin). NDU seems to be very interested and may very well offer this summer or next fall possibly. Is also receiving interest from NDSU and numerous other division 1's including some big ten schools.

The reference to NDU is not at all unusual. Sir Sidney of the Minneapolis Strib has frequently referred in the past to North Dakota University and referred to us as NDU. Similarly, while teams in the Big Ten such as Minnesota and Michigan are usually referred to as the U of M and Wisconsin as UW-Madison and the like, in the former Big Eight Conference of years ago (all of whose members are now part of the Big XII), the general consensus was to refer to the University of Missouri as MU, the University of Nebraska as NU, the University of Colorado as CU, the University of Kansas as KU and the University of Oklahoma as OU.

Please excuse the smart ass remark from one of our posters. We really appreciate the information - keep it coming!

You can excuse yourself if you wish to do so but don't do it for me ??? , I was not trying to be rude I was just pointing out to someone unfamiliar with the school that it is the University of North Dakota not North Dakota University.

Before NDAC became NDSU, like other midwestern schools UND commonly used NDU in it's pamphlets and publications. After NDSU came along, that reference eventually kind of phased out.

But this all has nothing to do with recruiting.
