AZSIOUX
wow, shocking news as roche has been sent down. looks lke a youngster and matt jones may have turned it up a notch for travis to be sent down after a very solid season last year. http://coyotes.nhl.com/team/app/?service=p...rticleid=338259 looks like jones is battling with weller and bell for that 6th ad 7th spot as the first 5 are pretty much locked with veterans http://coyotes.nhl.com/team/app?service=pa...amp;type=roster

LeftyZL
I didn't see this posted anywhere and I tried to find unsuccessfully to find it on the Hockey News website, but every week they have an "AHL Profile" with a player from the league. Turns out, in the 9/18 edition, it was none other than Chris Porter. They talked a little bit about his negotiation process with CHI and STL, but mostly about his future. From The Article: "Porter will very likely end up with the AHL's Peoria Rivermen team as he learns the pro game, but the Blues like his skating, size, and his dedication to the game. He's not going to be their next 30-goal scorer at center or left wing, but he will be a pain to play against."
RedFrog
nothing in the way of former sioux stats last night. Porter doesnt look to be on the Blues team roster anymore, but on their "in the system" roster. guess he got sent down, but I don't see anything anywhere saying that. Porter was not on todays list of cuts by the Blues. According to their site, they are down to 32, but their roster lists only 24 players. I'm assuming he's one of the 8 still on the roster, but just aren't listed.

31-9
So I'm sure we've all heard about how Dan Boyle recently got injured (severed a tendon after he hung up his skate, but got distracted and it fell on his wrist.) And uh, apparently that's not as uncommon as you'd think . . . The Devils narrowly avoided a Dan Boyle-type disaster when the skate Travis Zajac hung on the high hook atop his locker fell and barely missed hitting his head yesterday. Tampa Bay's Boyle is out four to six weeks after a falling skate cut tendons in his wrist.

Maybe some one might realize that hanging skates high above a skater and behind them, where they won't be looking isn't the smartest idea. 31-9
JPar is not in the Devils lineup tonight, he did play in Lowell's last preseason game, they lost 2 -1 in a shootout. Travis scored the Devils 3rd goal in the first period tonight.
siouxnami
Porter got huge minutes, but didn't do much. I suppose it is hard to look good when you lose 7-0. He certainly has NHL speed and strength. Porter played on a top line with Ryan Johnson and Hinote. The PK numbers were not good for St. Louis but Porter did a very nice job on the PK. He took face-offs on the PK and did well. He did look a little tentative, and never pulled out the patented golf swing clear on the PK. Based on what I saw, I think Porter has a shot with the team as a 3rd of 4th liner. His biggest value is probably as a PK specialist. 31-9
Jordan Parise has been reassigned to Lowell . . . but the Devils waived Frank Doyle (Maine) so if he's claimed expect JPar to compete for the starting job against Dave Caruso (tOSU) and Jason Smith (SHU) Interview with Zach Parise about: training camp, playing with his brother, growing up with JPar, his expectations for this season, his chemistry with Travis etc.
Siouxdonyms
JPar assigned to Lowell today. Looks like Weekes will be able to play the backup role. However, the Devils did put Doyle on waivers, so it looks like JPar may get a lot more playing time this year. JPar assigned to Lowell.
