YaneA Posted February 25, 2002 Posted February 25, 2002 There were 25 protesters against the Sioux nickname at the DECC Friday night, according to the Duluth paper. I got to the game an hour before it started, by way of the skywalk, and didn't see them. Can anyone who walked past the rabblerousers verify the turnout? Quote
dagies Posted February 25, 2002 Posted February 25, 2002 I showed up 20-25 minutes prior but I think I went in a back entrance and saw nothing. Didn't know anything about it until some Duluth fans who sat by me mentioned it on Sat night. However they weren't at the game on Fri so must have seen it in the paper as well. Quote
Riverman Posted February 26, 2002 Posted February 26, 2002 I agree did anyone catch the score board, hockey program ect. What ever! They might as well get used to it because the Fighting Sioux name is here to stay! -------------------------------------------------------- Long live the Fighting Sioux!! Quote
ScottM Posted February 26, 2002 Posted February 26, 2002 I think the only thing Duluth students would protest is the lack of booze or the fact they can't get to Superior for 2 am closing. Hmm, 25 protestors or so, the weather wasn't too bad, no snowmobile events ... can we say "general apathy"? Quote
