skate problem

ive got a cracked toecap. is there a way to fix it? ive had the skates for a while, so it may be time for a new pair. anyone know how much it costs to fix it? would i be better off with a new pair?

You could try using this stuff . . . http://jbweld.net/products/jbweld.php . . . it has worked well for me in the past albeit not on skates but it is worth a shot. It can be found at any home improvement store.

I don't know about this application, but in general J-B Weld is excellent stuff.

Back when I played baseball, I used Shoe Goo on the toe of my cleats instead of a pitcher's toe. It worked great for that. Should work on skates as well. I remember seeing it on a few pairs at Play It Again every fall.
