what makes him an asshole??? he might "hate" the sioux program but he respects the hell out of it, give us credit when it's due, and LOVES the rivalry between our beloved team and his beloved team........so i repeat...what makes him an asshole??

He is better now, but he doesn't always give the Sioux credit when it is due. Remember when he said the Sioux had no talented defensemen? Turns out a number of them are in the pros now. Like I said, he does give the Sioux a little more credit now, probably because he knows if he is going to keep his gig he has to be a little objective. You can also bet that if the Sioux were going through a season similar to what the gophers have to this point, he would be ruthless with his perception of the lack of talent, even though it might not be totally warranted. While I think the gophers are a little down, a goal here and a goal there, and they would be right in the middle of the NCAA picture.

but if you listen to his show he constantly bashes the players and the lack of anything they are doing....he's called out barriball more than a handful of times...he's not afraid to rip the gophers on the radio...i don't think he's allowed to get carried away with the ripping on fsn but i've heard him speak ill of the team there too....in the same breath, he has some solid ready-made excuses for some of the players too.

all in all i think that some people hear what they want and will hate him just cuz he's a gopher fan...overall i like him and their 3 hour program (sans the constant viking talk year long...they could stand to mix in MORE hockey during the viking offseason and more baseball in the summer)
