A few years ago - when I was really actively following our team (going to be starting again as of now though) - I went to far more "away" games than "home" ones due to the fact that I reside in "away" territory. Been to Mankato, St cloud and Duluth - not to mention the X and the John - far more often than the Ralph. Probably not alone in this scenario however

I mean I live in Mpls and the FF is in St Paul and the Sioux are in it. My decision to not buy tickets or aggressively seek them out makes no sense.

Story I have to share about Sioux bashing:
Before the championship game I see an usher helping a guy carry another guy down the stairs of the XCEL energy center (we were sitting down by the penalty box). Every person in our group is thinking "ohh my, this handicapped individual is having a tough time getting to his seat", so we are all offering a helping hand, and wouldn't you know it he's sitting in the row directly behind us next to the jerk Duluth fans. After the usher leaves we figure out that this jackbag isn't handicapped, he's drunk as a skunk.....and the usher at the X helped this drunk idiot to his seat (we're talking carrying the guy)....
He nearly puked like five times on my friend's wife (he spit on the floor like a thousand times......code for...I'm going to puke), and made sure in his drunken stooper to say "Sioux Sucks" as many times as he could.
The ushers hate us too...
sorry you had to put up with the experience - I would not have and didn't - let it suffice with that

Well - found it but forgot that I had my name sewn on. Sorry, I had some more but gave them away I'm afraid and must have kept this one due to the sewn on name.

Just so you know, I have had a couple thirteen, fourteen cold ones with two previous Athletic Directors so I know how this works...they failed to secure tickets from other teams in the tournament. They gave out about 200 tickets to FSC members and in the past they gave out well over 1000. I know what I am talking about and they made a huge mistake. You will see a lot more Maize and Blue and Maroon next Thursday because of it.
perhaps got pressure from the NCAA to limit the number of tickets to the hostile/abusive team
which it sounds like the AD would cave too

Perhaps I speak with little knowledge - not the first time and never stopped me before - but it sure must burn the NCAA that the hostile and abusive named team from a small town somewhere in the northern plains is not only in the final 4 (and all the exposure that comes with it) but also has one of the top three college players in the nation (more exposure) adorning mentioned hostile/abusive logo on his chest. I credit ESPNU and even the local rags here in the TC's for not being so politically correct as of late - although that changes with the wind - and really give credit to the ND Fighting Sioux players and fans (ie Evan Trupp's between period interview last week) for promoting (with pride) the program which was never meant to demean the Sioux Nation - only to honor with a program that prides itself on not only success - but success with character - a character that is often overlooked.
I know this is asking alot - but perhaps the "elitest" ruling class that is the NCAA should take this into consideration and not attempt to protect a people that (seems to me anyway) neither need or request such protection.
