  1. saw brown play a couple AAU games ...he really is not a D1 player, , scored 3-4 pts each game, did not start, and had serious problems with backcourt pressure.  With Portland ST, and EW bringing in quality transfers  , UND needs to up their standards.

  2. – North Dakota men's basketball head coach Brian Jones and his 2015-16 squad will benefit from some extra seasoning before they embark on a regular season schedule that features 13 homes games and nine opponents that tasted postseason play a season ago. That added experience for a team featuring eight returners and eight new players will come from 10 extra practices and a four game foreign tour during August that includes stops in Italy ... Ok the 8 returning players are Shanks, Geno, Hooker, Richman,Benton, Blake, Hobaugh, and Cashman....The 8 new guys Seales , Mcdermott, Baldwin, Bernstine, Baker, Avants. Collins...and????

  3. New offer:

PF/C Zach Cameron-Chodes, 6'9", 210, Springfield (Parkview), MO Has offer from Boston College, some services indicate that he verballed to MO St in 12/14

8pts  and 7 rebounds for a max preps rated 84th team in MO.

  4. tough loss for team  if true.  If Hooker and Geno start there will be no point guard on bench.  If Hooker or Geno get sick or injured only one PG left.  Terrel played solid defense started last season, was 4th in minutes played, good student and was very likely to be first guard off the bench this year...tough loss at a key position and probably too late to replace.....odd timing plus He had a sweet paid for Vacation to Italy lined up next month....he could have took that in before leaving...  Since none of the recruits on are this roster yet and no announcement so who knows if he is gone

  5. Crandall had some back pain.  Not sure if he is redshirting , Shields and Richman probably redshirting.  Kinda odd that their status has not been announced.  Guess is that all 3 will redshirt since they did not dress for last game. Maybe some reporter will ask the coach.

  6. Lien averaged 7.9 pts last year closer to 6 than 10. UND had one scholly gave that year and it went to Mn. Mr . Basketball award winner Q. Hooker who had several D1 offers. Lien had zero D1 offers. If UND had 4 schollys available Lien could have been on their radar . One can cherry pick....and  in hindsight and always find kids that teams missed Lien could end up a better player than Hooker! Tubby Smith did not offer MN.kid Nate Wolters who made the NBA and ended up  a better player than anybody on the Gophs. Notre Dame only beat Duluth by 17 in exhibition basketball ...these games mean little. UND has one guy who averaged over 4.5 pts a game back so yeah an experienced ,good D2 team beat them in a glorified pick up game early in the season .  I am sure that UND Staff would love to get locals players however the pickings have been slim lately and NDSU is tough to beat for local players , and some kids want to play at a higher level or in a different state.

  7. D1 Basketball only allows full athletic scholarship...no partials allowed! Pure guess if  UND could of signed these players Boise, Wyoming  and Ill. St. are a step up from UND  ,play in stronger league....Martinez of Bismarck, N.D., pleaded guilty  to misdemeanor battery and was sentenced to 45 days in jail and ordered to pay $58,000 in restitution(kicked off Team) . Hanstad has done nothing at Boise. The D2 kids are a real crap shoot to think they can play low D1. Pretty much need to star at D2 to be solid at low D1

  8. verbal commits is not always up to speed...they did not list Shields as being in the program until a week ago.  They do not list Birnstine as being offered or committed.  They are going with Cole as having a scholarship this year instead of Shields.
