If you or another friend/family member subscribe to a supported cable company (I know midco and charter are) you should be able to authorize her WatchESPN app with the code it generates. That's how it works on iOS anyway, I assume android is similar.

Okay, that legitimate technicality makes sense. And thus my original point : do we determine a champion by regular season performance or by winning the tournament? Apples and oranges I guess. But when it comes to the national stage, we don't crown a regular season winner. So let's win this tournament!

Um, does that mean #1 in the pairwise is the national champs and this tournament is just determining the "playoff champs"?

The video quality was pretty poor, BUT it wasn't jumpy/stuttering. The UND Insider stream this year has been broadcast quality HD, BUT frequently jittery, often almost unwatchably so. I agree that free is good! That said we dropped cable tv this year that ran about $60/mo with the sports pack for FSN last year. The ten bucks or so per month for und insider is pretty decent. If they could provide the quality I know is possible I'd happily pay twice that.

With UND up by 2 with a few minutes left in the game I loaded up the free NCHC stream of the scsu/miami game. Flawless broadcast level HD. While the UND Insider stream is much better than every other college hockey stream I've watched in the past years (with the exception of Norte Dame being provided by NBC) it frequently gets choppy/stutters like it's dropping frames. UND stream from the iphone app on my ipad airplay to appletv. NCHC stream from iPad web browser airplay to Apple TV. I also watched many many hours of the Winter Olympics through their app, and the only time the picture wasn't in perfect HD was the first period of the USA/Canada men's game. It didn't get jerky though, it just dropped to a lower quality. Netflix is always perfect. I'm not posting this (just) to whine, but as another data point to our benevolent UND Insider overlords that no, the problem is not on my end. I'll believe that the problem isn't on your end either. I'd bet that the vendor's content delivery network (CDN) just isn't getting the job done.

Two of the four seniors are transfers. NCAA sports that feed professional sports are so broken.

Frustrating what it took to finally get the crowd into the game. The building isn't is much of an advantage when 11,000 fans in it spend 55 minutes of the game sitting around playing with their phones.

Cory Thorson is a classless ass. I was sitting second row when he scored scsu's second goal and came over to very aggressively taunt us. Completely over the top. Hey, celebrate your goal - but show at least some minimal level of sportsmanship. Faragher came by for a little taunt after the eng, but he just came off as a dork.
