Who is surprised by this loss?
I said a couple weeks ago I felt UND would be a 2 seed
some called me negative, I called it based on past results from this coach , just had a feeling
if Michigan state looses today can a 1 seed still be had?
-
Why would a coach want to be an assistant at this program?
not sure what it pays but I can’t really see it as a stepping stone to higher paying jobs at another university

What were coaches words of wisdom after the game

My 3 takes:
start Persson in the NCAA
we won’t be in same regional as Omaha
the home site NCHC playoffs can’t come soon enough
Then we might play in Omaha.

Dumping your season tickets or not going to games only hurts the programs. Less $ will make things worse.
the players need support and you won’t get players without $

So if UND can secure a 1 and UNO a 3 would they throw gophers in that region as a 2?
my spell check had gophers as goners, hope that’s true

UND should be the more desperate team Friday night. We need a win for a #1 seed. Looks to me like UNO is looked in at a #3 seed.
If UNO is locked in at a 3 and UND a 1 can they both be in Sioux Falls ?

Can Omaha get a 3 seed when UND beats then

Recruiting. Find good players and suddenly you look like a good coach.
They make you look better than you are

Sounds to me like a bunch of excuses that shouldn’t be happening now. I can see getting embarrassed consistently in your first year when the program was in transition, but to be this uncompetitive with someone like Borowicz on your team means you have failed miserably to surround her with talent and determination, or you can’t get them to buy into your systems. The fact that the assistants become the scapegoats and she is left uttering excuses instead of taking responsibility doesn’t give me confidence the program is moving in the right direction.
Does Mal discuss the firings with Chaves first?
there were a few good athletes on this team but seemed to be playing out of position, I just felt Mal didn’t have control of the team

Michigan men hired an alum and he was fired today
hire the best available wether an alum or not

Where is the other evidence of growth, though?
Traffic? No.
UND avoiding the enrollment cliff, but higher ed trends seem flat.
Entertainment, retail, dining...still seem to be closing at a faster rate than opening.
Manufacturing and industry? (crickets)
And can't new rooftops/housing just be a lagging indication of pent up demand? Existing residents leaving upscale apartments for homes, former mid-level renters upgrading, older areas slowly being gentrified, redeveloped? Population shifting southward generally?
Does anyone honestly get a growth or boomtown vibe?
I get a growth vibe, not boomtown
look at downtown
look at out south
most people don’t see the growth in south end because they don’t go there or can’t see it from I29
dining closures happen usually because of bad food or bad service
I like to look at building permits and cost

Why do they do surveys in odd years, I thought they were every 10 years, what’s the purpose

Be interesting to see what players from other summit schools enter
wondering about Kyle from sdsu

Fargo Metro: 12,787 (5.1%)

Cass County: 11,845 (6.4%)
I’m still not buying these numbers for Grand Forks

I can 100% guarantee that not a single player or coach is worried about either of those things.
But don't let that stop your rant.I won’t , just want to pi ss you off

They worry too much about jersey color and what jet to fly home in
warm up the bus and let them think about things on the way home

If the summit matches up with Houston, ouch.
they are up by 26 now over Kansas

I also wouldn't assume the worst about this team until it actually happens. If they underachieve in the playoffs, I will be the first to point it out.
I’m just curious why some say the players played so bad last night and why that might happen, I know you can’t be at the top of your game every night
i think some matchups are just tougher to play against sort of like CC.
seems like Brad S had a pretty good handle on what would happen last night.

I guess maybe I shouldn’t base it on the way the Vikings do things,
‘my biggest fear is a hot goalie , they seem to find us

Back in the day we had one special ed room for all grades and the teacher taught all the students, no paras
maybe 15 to 20 students on any given year

Think UND will be a 2 seed, they somehow do that
will be a repeat of past regionals, no frozen 4
