That’s not the only tipping point. New guy has no FBS coaching experience, and minimal division 1 (FCS) experience. I’m not expecting 2024 to go great for UND, but ultimately, I have no idea what to expect out of the new offensive coordinator. Winona State didn’t exactly light it up last year. We will see…
Well for Pete’s sake…? FBS experience…what the heck is your pay scale? Maybe we should focus on a run through our own play offs first.
I like his resume and some fresh eyes on the team. I hope it works out.

Good resume…maybe better than the first one.

A quote from Blazing Saddles work here.. scene where the sheriff comes into town and pulls a gun on himself…. The little old lady with the bonnet says in a desperate voice, “Won’t someone please do something?”
What does it take for action????

So I am waiting for a high school hockey game to start and flip to THIS. Could I just ask where are the AD and president? Total lack of support and let Bubba try to pick up the pieces. Bubba does not set salary…
Billies Got His Beer Goggles On
Neil McCoy
He don’t see ugly through blood shot eyes
He’ll fall apart when he gets home but right now his worries are gone
’cause life looks good, good, good
So good, good, good
Life looks good, good, good
Billie’s got his beer goggles on!

I’m embarrassed for everyone involved. I won’t divulge anything specific right now, but circumstantially, this is incredibly embarrassing for UND football.
Normally, I usually do not agree with you but you are spot on here.
Who is Billy? Is that the AD’s first name? Well it seems the AD has his beer goggles on.

Best thing to happen would be for the HC to announce his retirement.
I am not so sure…how many players would stick around while the AD looks for both positions? It would be a gamble either way… one opening or two.

You know…I have checked for new posts in the current threads….nothing. Too quiet for too long. I said something is not right and it will not be good. I mean….people were not even bitching….nothing.
This is on the AD and unfortunately our HC has to pick up the pieces.
I hope we do not lose players over this.

Can’t you check that database, car fax or something!!!

Well that is Standard Operating Procedure…..form the sub committee at a meeting. Then at the next meeting you find out people were added or removed from the sub committee, right? No explanation given. So sad when our personal integrity is mixed in with civiv integrity….just breathe in, breathe out, move on!! Pray as needed!

Chaves and Marty as they call him (chaves whipping boy) are sitting back. Evaluations the faxes from the fax machine. They hen shave chaves had. Then call bubba
have bubba come in acknowledge chaves new hair cut the think philosophy and maybe call Frank white for some sociology then might as well call Munski as he is a ski but not from around here ski then they maybe just maybe call uncle Andy for permisssion to go to the bathroom. Then come back and make the decision
You mean they won’t form a sub-committee too? Sounds like other public hires….
-
Isn’t there some requirement for full disclosure for a public position? I think in MN they may have to disclose only who gets interviewed but not sure.

His salary is projected to be $10M+. That does not count the buy out. He makes $4.2M now at Washington.

There is nothing wrong with recognizing we are a stepping stone HC program…

So refresh me…what year did Deboer apply and who did we hire instead? Just asking because I really do not remember.
-
Rumors on social media of a noon press conference announcing Deboer is going to ’Bama…rumors. Deboer cancelled an 8 am press conference this morning…people joking he had diarrhea…..all rumors.

Might need a wellness check if we don't hear from him by morning.
Maybe he is in negotiation for the position.

Im quite surprised that an offensive or defensive coordinator position at a D1 school makes that little.. particularly in MVFC or Big Sky. Anyone konw an easy way to look at what the averages are across those conferences?
That short time to apply means they have already selected someone, in my opinion.

Coaches are changing faster than social media post can keep up. I hope this is not true.

CNN “Welcome to the death of college football as we know it.”
I don’t know how to cut and paste in my cell phone.

One other thing the department has been working on is endowed football scholarships. I believe in the press release their have been I believe 12 or 13 scholarship endowments in the last 3 years. Great job those that have step forward. It is a great way to support the football program.
I just read an article that pretty much supports this. Their point? The news media controls college sports…not the commissioners or AD. ESPN can allow you to have a date and location of the game. This time will be determined? a week before. But if you are one of the key games, you fall into the ?5 day rule. You find out like Sunday or Monday when the game is based on who won or lost.
The editorial (?CNN, not sure) went on to say college football as we know it, will die after Monday night’s game.
Yes, NIL is important and who is starting it?
-
Money is always the issue…wars are fought about moral issues but there is always a money reason behind it.
Revolutionary War: freedom but increased taxes to England
Civil War: slavery but cotton tax increase behind it
one QB said he was offered $3M for NIL but would not name the school….

Well for anyone who has the time and inclination, the editorial page in this morning’s Mpls. Star Tribune has two great editorials about the $$$ flowing around college football ( mostly football but other sports too).
“When tradition, greed collide, injuries follow” and “Obscene pay for coaches is out of control.”Like I said, maybe we should go back to the Memorial Stadium.

Have you seen all the movie stars with 5:00 shadows? It is the “in” thing now. Some women find it sexy.
As far as tying a tie…trust me the vast majority of high school students do not know how. I can always tell teens who are in FFA when I costume…. They know how to tie a tie!
I personally do not care how he dresses….can he call some new plays and make sure the team knows them.
