  1. where is boston college in your bracket? they did end up being 5th overall seed with you running the predictor
  2. we cant expect to go far giving up bad goals. if so, we need special teams to be there. tonight it wasn't. first few pp's wern't bad. had chances. but the rest were terrible. 1st goal, whiffed on clearing attempt and you could also say that mabye saunders was a little out of position. second goal, was shorthanded breakaway. 3rd goal, cant give up those ones. it looked harmless. 4th was a deflection, what are you gonna do, thats how it goes. hopefully special teams is a hot topic in practice next week. overall und wasnt terrible. but made a few bad mistakes, and the opposition scored. cant have any of that come tourney time.
  3. that shot almost looked like it would have gone wide. unless it's just me. could have hit anyone. boys will be watching the rest from grand forks. wishing they were stil in st paul.
  4. season is not over. we have won the final five 3 years in a row. i want to win the nc. bigger things lie ahead next week.
  5. mattson gets the goal. haha. well. we get rest. thats that
  6. you're not gonna go far by going 0-6 on pp's. not good
  7. the cc player wrapped his arms around rocco's body to pull him down
  8. we have a reason now to do a duluth, lets rest for ncaa's. haha
  9. the coaches chose this list. go be mad at them.
  10. wisco win should do better for us in pairwise. 1-0-1 versus 1-1
  11. From USCHO Dec. 12, 2012 - CCHA Columinst Paula C. Weston When teams meet in March to play for the Mason Cup one last time, they’ll be doing so on Saturday and Sunday. At first, the Detroit Red Wings had scheduled a Friday night game, forcing the CCHA to seek an alternative to its usual Friday-Saturday schedule. When the NHL decided to pick up its collective puck and go home, the CCHA heard arguments to move the games back to Friday and Saturday, but what was done was done. “We had to go to the NCAA championship committee to get a one-year exception to playing on Sunday,” Pletsch said. “They also had to get clearance from ESPN to move the selection show.” That’s correct. The ESPN NCAA hockey championship selection show has been moved to 9 p.m. the Sunday before the NCAA tournament begins all because of the CCHA championship. “We won’t be able to move it back,” Pletsch said. “TV gets locked in, and the NCAA made it clear that once we had a schedule, we had to keep it.” Pletsch said that the league considered playing semifinal games on Thursday and the title game on Saturday but said, “If you look at how the Super Six was, you saw that it was difficult to get fans to the rink for Thursday’s games.” The CCHA played a six-team championship tournament, the Super Six, from 2002 to 2005. There is no third-place game this year, either, since the championship game begins at 2 p.m. that Sunday. “The NCAA told us we had to be done by 4:30,” Pletsch said. “Playing at 2, you can’t have a game at 10 in the morning before that for third place.” Read more: http://www.uscho.com.../#ixzz2O3QjMeOP
  12. Rocco has gotten some penalty kill time so I dont think Hak believes Rocco is a defensive liability. Im sure OD would be more of a defensive liability than Rocco.
  13. the championship game on sunday was decided when the season started. not news. now you guys go all crazy. haha
  14. not liking the top line, od only has 8 points on season. yeah, scary... not. it's a two man show out there. od doesnt derserve to be on top line. hak has been messing with the lines all season. rocco needs to make a pass if someone is there. tape to tape. a few times on the pp i noticed he made a pass away from a player, and sometimes they are two hard
  15. This drives me nuts. He has done this way to often and the puck ends of going the other way. The kid can't act like the players are gonna be there. Plus a lot of his passes are pretty hard and not on target. Noticed that on the pp in the 3rd.
  16. hmmmm no head injury. well isnt that interesting. stupid refs
  17. Per Brad's blog "Shattuck-St. Mary’s sensation Nathan Noel is scheduled to be visiting campus this weekend. Noel, a 1997-born forward, is being mentioned as the possible No. 1 overall pick in the QMJHL draft."
  18. im sure Mariucci is trying to get a reaction from us. why? i dont know. scsu won it too. nothing else to do i suppose.
  19. that point we left on the table against bsu doesnt matter anymore. if we would have tied, or won tonight it would have. enough is enough. its playoff time now. go sioux
  20. well... that 2010-11 team didn't play any better when they went to mankato. got out played but managed to sweep. im not too worried with our play this weekend, but with what was on the line, mabye so. im just thankful im not on the bus for the ride home. poor jayson
  21. Will be interesting to see what lines Hak has for tonight. Top line needs to produce tonight. And hopefully a few others pitch in.
  22. UND needs to have a better game overall. They got outshot 40-20. Yuck. They only registered 2 shots alone in the first. The turnovers is another thing they need to watch for. MSU had some of their own, which we capatilized on, but not as many as us I don't think. If UND plays the way they did defensively against DU on Sat. and pucks go in, it should be a W.
