Thought you guys over there might like another BSC Football source. This guy writes good articles and has podcast interviews too. Hope Fall Ball is going well. Enjoy! http://skylinesportsmt.com/ratelle-und-defense-looking-for-respect/#more-5764 The UND podcast is right below the Ratelle article.

Some of us follow him and some of us don't........... As for his info concerning the CATS, he has some good player to player insight. As for info on the teams we play, well you get the picture. That is why I read other teams sites. I'm not going to message our writer to find out about your team. I'll just ask you guys. On the other hand, if you want to learn about the CATS, read some of his stuff. It is usually right on concerning our players and coaches.

So you have had some posters from E-griz! Most of the level headed posters on other message boards (including our bobcatnation.com) welcome insightful information that some of the fans can offer. Yes, it is completely "homer" talk, but I like to read other teams forums to understand what to expect from a team on gameday. Almost an amateur scouting report if you will. The fans will discuss all sorts of odd angles that you can't get from formal scouting reports. I probably prefer yours to others because there is actual action happening here. On some sites, you might get to visit with someone the day before the game. We had our local CAT Chat tonight at a local bar called The Pour House (great food if you are in town this weekend). Its the weekly coaches radio show where the host and bar patron's get to ask Coach Ash and usually a couple of players questions about the previous game and of course the upcoming game. He definitely respects your D and the stunts/shiftiness that it brings. He said that they will have to be creative this Saturday to put points on the board. He also said that your O is going to smash it down your throat and bring right at you. Here's to some hard knocking football!

So continues the "Battle of the Bakken" saga. I do believe that Bubba is righting the Sioux Ship, and yes, it does start by building a defense that can stop the upper tier BSC offenses. However, you have to score more points in order to win one of these top tier games (over 30). I don't see UND defense scoring 20+ to get it done this weekend. I also don't see it as such a lopsided affair as the last two Bakken Battles. This one will be closer. Cats-46 UND-16. That being said, anyone headed out West is always welcome at any of our tailgate parties. Come enjoy some cold ones and the Rockies! As far as some of the other comments posted so far. Some keep referring to the EWU game with us as a "no defense" game. All I have to say about that is simple: You got to get off the porch to run with the Big Dogs. i.e. you HAVE to respect VA and EWU's air game. You stack the box against EWU and you are in for a long, long day. If you guys don't pass this Saturday, the CATS will load the box and make sure you don't run it either.

Happy Off-Season UND fans! I needed a football fix today and read everything on our site Bobcat Nation and figured I would check and see what you guys were up to. Congrats on the new Coach and staff, hope they right the ship for you guys. Also hope you were able to land some top recruits this past Feb. 5th. Well on to some business. I LOVE TAILGATING! Its one of the reasons alot of fans support Bobcat football. Even if it is a later kickoff that day, we still get up to the stadium by 8 AM. The later kickoffs alow us to have Breakfast and Lunch! I have an old short bus painted Blue, Gold & White that holds all my stuff and it pulls a matching utility bed tailer that has a 4-burner Wolf 4'X2' grill mounted in the back. My stuff includes tents to make a 20X30 structure, 5 (6 ft.) folding tables, popcorn machine, 3 roaster ovens, Flat screen w/ sat. TV to watch College Gameday and other football games, propane heaters (for the cold games), about 8 coolers (for the food & COLD ones), party lights for the night games, and two generators to power the whole party. ITS A BLAST! Our theory is "If you build it, they will come". this all comes with a price of course. In the lot we are in, car spots go for $200 a season and RV spots go for $300 a season. Our little party village takes up 3 RV spots. We spit the $900 amongst all of us, about 6 families, and of course there is a donation jar at the food line so if anyone drops in and has some great food and drink, they can always throw in a couple of greenbacks. The extra cash go towards the next games groceries/beer. And by all means, any UND fan is WELCOME at my tailgate as long as you have a good sense of humor and no one in your group is wearing maroon and silver! Thanks for letting me get an off-season football fix. By the way, if you make the trek over here this fall, we have around 6 local brew pubs that craft some pretty good brew also. After reading this topic about the beers you guys are pushing, I might have to make a road trip that way soon! CHEERS! Here's to Spring Ball starting soon!

There will always be good fans and bad fans at any sporting event. I believe this to be a true statement of both the Cat and Grizz faithful that come out to Grand Forks to take in thier respective games. I hope that the Cat fans show some respect and enjoy this new Big Sky venue. I am a passionate CAT fan, but i also have respect for the opposition especially when you are the visitor and representing the entire state of Montana. I believe this should be a fun one. I can't make the trip, but I'll be watching on the big screen. Here's to MSU and UND fans having a good time. CHEERS!

Don't know. It's all hush/hush as with all of our current injuries. Some say by NAU which is the 5th of Oct. and others say longer. It's his throwing shoulder and it was dislocated at SMU. Hope our Payday$$$$ was worth it. We have bye week after our visit with you guys. Our injury report usually comes out Sunday evening and now it's Monday night and I still haven't heard anything from the SFA game. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Trust me. The Die Hard B&G Fans wanted to go to Fargo. I took time off work for that weekend, just to go there. Backing out of that game pissed off a lot of us. Side note, Is this AG-1?
-
They are not a rival of MSU. I don't post on their board. I got Sioux on my mind! Just thought it was a SWEET statement. I would happily travel the 2.5 hrs to Missoula to hang a CAT flag on a balcony if GameDay was at WaGrizz Stadium!
-
By the way UND fans. Absolutely LOVED the two Sioux flags hanging on the balcony while I watched college GameDay last Saturday. That was SWEET!
-
No offense taken sir. Don't get me wrong. I laughed when I saw the post. Wishing another team Good Luck on their message board against your rival. That alone signifies "Troll". Then the added "state college of Bozeman". Troll point #2. I am laughing.........really. Notice how when the Grizz played UND, there wasn't a single comment on the UND board from a Cat fan wishing them Good Luck against the Grizz. Notice how I actually refer to you guys as the Grizz and nothing else. If I was Troll'N I would be talking smack on E-grizz, NOT on another teams board referring to you as the jizz from HippyU. Good day sir.
-
Nice to see the grizz trolls hound everyone else's message boards too! God Bless em.

Yes, without DM we are lacking. Bleskin (Backup QB) looked decent in his first start against a DII team, then got his dinner burnt by a decent but not great FCS defense. Truth of the matter = this will be only his third start in your loud dome. If your D stops our run game, the Cats will be in trouble. Bleskin had 4 picks against SFA. At this point I dont believe we can rely on our passing game. Don't know what happened to our D against SFA. Showed some bright moments, however these were overshadowed by waves of inconsistancy. After all DM doesn't play D, but have had some key injuries on D also. It seems like the D is still trying to get on the same page if you will. It was a shootout in Bozeman against SFA last year. Cats won 43-35. Very similar to this year. Yes SFA hung 50 on us, but the last TD (pick-6) was more of salt in the wound rather than our D giving up 50. All being said. We were coming off a disappointing loss last year when you guys came to town. Now we are coming off two disappointing defeats heading over to visit you. Ash will make changes. Our boys are not giving up. Your boys better be ready. MSU-42 UND-24
