This writer has no information from the schools and no idea of what’s needed to go FBS. He just picked teams that have been pretty good in FCS.
Pointed out that in another forum, and my reaction was excorriated. Also, FBS teams that move to FCS leagues before they get FBS payments won't get new ones until their regualified.
NDSU being is a league with NMSU, UNM, UTEP isn't easily happening

Apparently, Robert Morris might get added to the Horizon this month and the MVFC might have to cancel RMU vs MVFC games.

NJIT today announced that it is leaving the Atlantic Sun for the America East. NJIT added lacrosse a couple years ago to make them eligible.

Where does it say 2 new FBS leagues form. It shows ten schools that could join current FBS leagues. And you are linking to an article that says NDSU could join the Big 10?
NDSU is in the B1G region according to that writer, which will never happen unless a new 60k domed stadium is built and billions is added to it's endowment.
He also lists UMass, UConn, Liberty, UTEP, Army and five other FBS memb asers as joining those two new FBS leagues. Thought it was required to bash any thought of a new FBS league here by NDSU fans.

Looks like lower oil prices are resolving the feud between District 1and 8 finally. The proposal is they merge and give their outlying land to other county schools districts.

At least EWU, Sac St and C Poly could not go FBS this year because of budgeting limitations.

Here's a tv report from Huntsville:
As far as I know, UAH is still building an on campus rink.

And when the money runs out again next year?!
Not trying to be political, but everyone loves budget cuts unless it's something they enjoy. Suddenly, it's sacred.
UAH set out two stipulations before it accepted the gift;
A. require the budget to have a meaningful philanthropic methods for subsequent fundraising, and B. have a conference by year five. UAH considered those both met. High Point, Liberty, Lindenwood must be preparing their skates.

That's along the lines of a debate happening on twitter. What is stopping the UAH admin from taking all the proceeds of these fundraisers and then still just shuttering the program in a year when the WCHA folds?
They had actually resigned from the WCHA, so they weren't anticipating conference games. UAF and UAA are extremely expensive conference travel games so it's almost admitting the program would be shutdown to save the bleeding. If High Point, Liberty, and Lindenwood agree to start programs in two years there is at least possible 12 home and away games with double round robin scheding that are bussible when none before.
The WCHA needed Arizona St, LIU and the Alaska's to continue as teams, and that isn't financially feasible without high travel budgets. UAH knew that an unaffordable couple years were coming and decided to cut the cord now and possibly bring it back like before.

Any mention of those "reports" of UWGB going to D2?
There have been no additional reports that UW-Eau Claire will move to DiI either, although it must happen for both UWGB and UWEC CCHA hockey.
Some friction in the Big Sky, as their dropping games in conference.

CMU's dropping men's sports has endangered it's FBS program.

There are reports on Twitter that UWGB will drop from DI. They have fired their MBB staff.
Maybe there are looking at D2 and the CCHA?

Bowling Green drops baseball. Orel Herschiser pitched at BGSU.
https://d1baseball.com/featured/bowling-green-first-to-cut-program-during-covid-19/
Used to think that BGSU was the FBS school most similar to UND and that is proving out over time. But BGSU only has $138 m endowment, while UND has almost three times that.

Wealthier schools like Stony Brook and Hofstra could have started a team right in the area but LIU was quicker.

Looks like LIU will be an Indy the first year.

The Horizon now has almost all the Midwest major cities. Green Bay looks to be staying, so they have chosen their most famous coaches son.
