I'd rather have Mizzou in the NCHC then Missouri State. Missouri State has moved through the ACHA fairly quickly, started in 2001 in the ACHA DIII then in 2004 moved to AHCA DII where they're competitive, and now the team is looking to ACHA DI in the next few years.

Omaha just landed the leading scorer on the Penticton Vees Riley Alfred (17-17-34). Arizona State's first commitments as a NCAA program are Jordan Masters and Cody Gylling (these guys were never going to be on UND's radar. It's nice to see them get their first commitments).

The Pittsburgh Pirates (baseball) original colors were red and blue and didn't become black and gold until 1948. The Boston Bruins went from brown and gold to black and gold in 1934. The Pittsburgh Pirates hockey team also wore the same colors as the Philadelphia Flyers when the Pirates were move to Philadelphia and changed the team name to the Quakers. The Pittsburgh Pirates hockey team has no connection to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
