WOW! What a shot.
-
That's a dive.

They need more then just Butcher. Not sure what they are going to do with their goaltending, seem like they will move away from Varlamov. I expect them to take Patrick 1st overall
-
There's more to it then not signing Butcher.
-
I'd like to know if there was any way to reduce the $2 million operating cost and still keep the program.
-
Angus Redmond signs with the Ducks, leaves Michigan Tech after one season.
-
Yes, it needs checking then there would be a reason for them to actually dive like I saw the US do in the third a couple times.

UND just cut a sport that cost $2 million and you think they should add men's and women's lacrosse that together will cost UND $2 million. I like lacrosse but if UND has the money to add lacrosse then they might as well bring back women's hockey.- 2,150 replies

University of North Dakota Hockey 2017-18 Season

I thought Bjork worn one too, but it doesn't look like it. Goalies as captains just looks dumb. -

Nope, the Notre Dame goalie is a captain. -
I think Schafer made cuts to effect the least amount of sports same as Kennedy by going by what has been put out there.
-
Didn't the state change how much needed to be cut after the cuts were made so Kennedy had no choice but to cut it? If the state didn't tell UND to cut more money they probably don't cut the women's hockey team.

They tied Wisconsin in league points that year and had the tie breaker over them.

RPI hockey alumni not happy with how the school runs the hockey program. http://www.troyrecord.com/general-news/20170330/rpi-hockey-alumni-express-dismay-over-state-of-current-program

So one in Chicago and one in Hershey?

I'll say Omaha is a better job then Mankato is. You can make an argument that the 10 year contract is to help get Mankato into the NCHC. I think it's to keep Hasting from getting poached by other schools like Omaha and Minnesota when Lucia finally retires.

Who was the last school to host a Frozen Four without having a NCAA hockey team? I want to say it was Navy. http://www.omaha.com/uno/hockey/university-of-nebraska-athletic-department-bids-to-host-frozen-four/article_52cc8926-25fb-5f0e-9341-50f1b8dabf15.html

I don't know about that. What I was getting at was it's going to take a lot of luck for UND to win a title in basketball.
-
Would you say he would have done better with the Knicks as their coach then as their GM or what ever he is there?
-
Penn State is a program that just started, not UND. The way people talk about the Olympians that have been apart/are apart of this program, you'd think they would have a National Title or two by now. Basketball gets UND exposure and if they would have upset Arizona, everyone would be talking about it. ESPN and SB Nation would put it in a list of greatest upsets that everyone would talk about for years. Is basketball going the win a National Title? No, not unless Phil Jackson decided to coach the team.

From my understanding is Bemidji St., St. Cloud, and Duluth have to have a women's D1 team because they have a men's D1 team.
