That gives UND a higher 4 seed or Western a lower 4 seed same for Michigan State. The rules state 5 or more intra-conference matchups can happen. I remember this happening to the WCHA once when they got 6 in. The 2008 NCAA tournament had 3 WCHA teams in Madison
