  1. Not NHL, but this triggers people and it’s hilarious watching them say how the game is now soft because of this.
  2. Parker Deschene to Lindenwood
  3. There are other defensemen I'd expect UND to be after. His number are not all that great for his size. he also decommitted after the head of recruiting left.
  4. Rutger McGroarty signs with Pittsburg Couldn't happen to a better team
  5. Former commit Grayden Slipec commits to Northern Michigan
  6. Thomas Vandenberg to Providence
  7. Rutger McGroarty traded to the Penguins
  8. Zombo reminds me of Frank Serratore
  9. This was an interesting listen. I would expect a new CBA would take away the protection the CHL has from NHL teams taking players and sending them to the AHL instead of the player having to go back to their CHL team after a specific number of games in the NHL. As it was mentioned in the podcast. The CHL scholarships will most likely go away if the CHL ban is lifted. Because their argument is they will get one from the NCAA schools. I also don't see why the CHL would let the USHL into their league. Also, I can't see USA Hockey and Hockey Canada letting that happen. This is going to affect the NAHL, AJHL, etc. negatively but I think the BCHL will be fine. Now another point brought up was this will get more eyes on college hockey from Canada where fans are now following the players from their WHL team to North Dakota as an example. Also, this would get Rogers (Sportsnet) or Bell (TSN) to start broadcasting NCAA hockey games. This could lead to TSN saying NCHC we'll give you $3 million for broadcast rights in Canada or UND will give you $3 million for broadcast rights in Canada as an example. Will this cause schools to add NCAA D1 hockey? not unless a school has someone that is going to put down $100 million. Will this cause Canadian/USport universities look to join NCAA D1 Hockey? maybe, schools like UBC or McGill might. But I think Simon Fraser will be the first Canadian university to make the jump.
  10. Caden Harvey to Penn State
  11. The way things are going he’s going to need a, win a game in the NCAA tournament bonus
  12. Cornell went 1-3 in Slovakia in exhibition games
  13. Sam Peckham to Cornell
  14. Laine and a 2nd to MTL for Harris I guess the Blue Jackets won by not retaining any salary
  15. Eli McKamey, 15, scores exceptional status to play with the B.C. Hockey League | CBC News
  16. Not surprised since his brother is going there too
  17. If GCU did add hockey I think they could give ASU a run for their money. The basketball atmosphere at GCU is way better than ASU and with a arena the same size as Mullet I think GCU could make it work. They also seem to be buying up property to the east of campus to expand it, surprised they didn't try to buy part of Metrocenter Mall thats 10 minutes away. The WCHL had a vote to allow SDSU and NAU join but only SDSU did, or that is what the UNLV coach made it seem. WCHL with ASU, Arizona, GCU and NAU sounds nice.
  18. Sean Hogan, new director of College Hockey Inc., brought up in 2 interviews that they are working with around half dozen schools looking to add hockey. He also said 3 to 4 are close to adding D1 and he brought up that there is a NCAA D3 conference (all sports) looking at adding hockey. I could see during the Las Vegas Frozen Four that UNLV announces they will move up to NCAA D1. This was brought up on a UNLV post when they announced the D1 schools they are going to play. The groundbreaking for the Arizona Wildcats is supposed to happen here soon. College Hockey Coast 2 Coast Se 2 Ep 6 Aug 12, 2024 | ITHSWpodcasts (podbean.com) Recent Shows – The Pipeline Show
  19. Jacob Monks to Merrimack Timofei Runtso to Maimi
  20. This was a good conversation, and Petey with a story about his dad that I didn't know about.
  21. I think it has to do with the coach, listening to a couple interviews and Miami is giving him the resources to get the best players. I don't expect Miami to be at the bottom for much longer with Noreen as the coach.
  22. Minnesota fans sound happy they won't be there
  23. In things that never die, I wouldn't be surprised if NIL comes up in this case at some point. When you own two professional teams you can fund the program yourself and not ask for a feasibility study that says you'll need $60 million and lose $2 million a season.
