The CHN podcast was talking about how the top 16 in the PWR at Thanksgiving (like in the NHL) show who will likely make the NCAAs. Last year 11 of the 16 teams at Thanksgiving made the NCAAs. So, the PWR matters at Thanksgiving.

I went and looked when I hard that his kid was on the team. He’s currently playing for Mercyhurst. Sounds like a lot of issues are the two owners not getting along. But that shouldn’t cause them to fire coaches once a month.

Rumor is the owner is tanking the team on purpose to move them to KC. I think everyone say this coming at some point.

I was watching St. Clouds first game or one of the first home games they had. One of the people on the broadcast I want to say Geno, but I think it was the rink side girl. It was brought up how Larson said this would be a down year and next year was going to be their year. Watching them it looks like they never skipped a beat from last season.

He has gotten the program back to where it was under Owens/Lucia. Owens was a coach that stayed longer than he should have and with Haviland just not a good fit at the NCAA level set CC back a few years. Mayotte is exactly what CC needed and it's just a matter of time until we see the CC team of old. Duluth is another team that I'm starting to think might need to move on from Sandy sooner than later.

I remember the 2011-12 team that was dressing every player including Tate, with fans asking if Tate could play defense or forward. That team won the Final Five for the 3rd time in a row. This team could be that team if they all buy in and play for each other.

I didn't want Brad Berry to be the associate head coach when they let Shaw go. I also didn't want him to be the head coach when Hak left. But he's Hak's buddy and he is in this position because of that. Right now, this team most likely will have to do the one thing it has only done once in the NCHC to make the NCAAs. The "new" standard is we make the NCAAs not we make Frozen Fours, and that might work for the Omaha's, Miami's, Western Michigan's, etc.... Honestly you can't defend what Berry has done at UND when his predecessors missed 3 NCAAs combined and 8 Frozen Fours. Blais lost in the regional final in 1998, 1999, and 2004 and out in round 1 in 2003 (1998 and 1999 they had a bye). Hak lost in 2 regional finals. When you have everything that even Denver, Minnesota, Michigan, BC, and other 'blue blood" schools don't have, and you only make ONE Frozen Four then maybe it's time for a change to someone who can get the most out of their players. It's time for Berry to stop being their dad/bff and be their coach and lead this team. Time for Berry to start taking ownership of the product on the ice and say, "I didn't have the team prepared tonight" instead of the usual BS he says after games. Karl and Dillion should get out on the recruiting trail and lock up these high end CHL/USHL/AAA/MNHS players. And Berry needs to, for the love of God, stop going to the portal and getting players that wouldn't have been recruited to UND to begin with.
