With the ups and downs of this year, what I'm losing my mind over is special teams. If nothing else, when this team doesn't make the tournament for the first time in 16 years, you can circle that as the # 1 culprit. It's beyond pathetic, Shaw deserves nothing but blame.
It’s either Shaw sucks as the PP coach or the guys aren’t quite good enough to pull off what he’s trying to do or a little of both. It feels like most of the year this team has been on the same step as everyone else and not a step a head like we’re used to seeing. And it hurts even more now that Jones isn’t playing. On the PP it feels like once we get the puck the opposing team is right on us, we need to be a step or 2 ahead of them and I havnt seen it.

I’m thinking him milking the idea and Monty going with it because if he’s going down and staying down that easily, he shouldn’t even be playing. And from what I remember about Coles hit in the ralph, it didn’t seem like he hit him good enough In the right spot for Plant to be knocked out like that. Maybe if he wasn’t wearing a helmet. I just didn’t seem like there was enough contact

I’m watching the play on a laptop for a bigger screen to see if Smith tried to go for Plants head, but I can’t see it clear enough to determine that. I really want to think that Smith wouldntv intentionally hit him in the head. I want to think he tried getting him in the chest but the way Plant kind of turned he got him higher. Idk. Given the history I don’t even know why Plant was in the game, you get “knocked out” that easily and the hot didn’t even look that hard why are you playing? I get it was an elbow but a healthy player wouldntv been laying on the ice for that long

When Cam doesn’t have an NHL defensive line in front of him that’s all he is is an average college goal tender. I have always thought that but you say and people and they jump all over you.

Well now a days we have to coddle to players playing stupid. Players can’t hit the guy with his head down anymore because it’s going to be an automatic penalty. And if Plant seems like he gets knocked out every time he plays why is he still playing? seems like a guy you put out there to draw a 5 minute major

This team is better then average, it’s if they play like it. When they are playing their best they can beat the best team in the country, and when they’re playing their worst the worst team in the country can beat them, It’s just a matter of who shows up!

We also won with incredible team character and hard play now we can't get a full 60 minutes out of our team for the life of us. We used to be a place where talent came to grow and hopefully make the pros - now, no one seems to have improved. We used to be a feared opponent, now we are Minnesota Duluth's whipping boy. And no one can figure out what happened. Maybe this is one of those years that just comes along every so often. I hope so. Even so, if we get our act together we could still make some noise, but the clock is ticking.

At this point in the season I’m just hoping for a 2 wins in the league playoffs at home or god for bid on road so we can get to the Frozen Faceoff, win the championship game and hopefully get an automatic birth into the west regional!
