My apologies. in jest but poor taste.
a committee of lettermen and current players from both UND and NDSU to come up with 3 choices for a trophy and design. To be voted on by student body of both Universities.
I'm concerned that is has only 50% of the committees from the original blueprint.
If we wanted to try something new, I would suggest going in the complete opposite direction. Instead of the winner gets a trophy, the loser has to take care of salt water aquarium for the entire year or something like that.

Quite frankly, I'm quite appalled and disgusted with how some of you are going about coming with a new rivalry trophy. Much like messing around with drones and throwing dead rodents onto ice, this is something that anyone with a taste of UND education should have down by now.
You want a new trophy? Here's how you come up with a new trophy.
Step 1. What do we want our new trophy to represent? Well, it's hard to say. How are we going to decide, you ask? Easy. The most effective decision making tool the 21st century has to offer. We'll make a committee to come up with what we want in our new trophy.
Step 2. We know what we want, now it's time to execute. How exactly does one put all of our thoughts and desires into a tangible trophy? Well no one can. We need the collective wisdom of a governing body, say, another committee perhaps. If they need help we could open up the brainstorming process to a little crowd sourcing, but at the very least, we would need a committee to refine the ideas down for the rest of us.
Step 3. After the committee narrows down the trophy ideas using very clear and transparent criteria and logic that these groups can't help themselves but to use, we could use a little democracy to pick the final winner. Admittedly, this is where it's going to get hard because you aren't going to have any clear winners, so maybe take the 5 or so, open it up to an election and set some hard line rules about any subsequent runoff elections. Now, if you think the hard line rules aren't what you want after this first election, you can kind of just discard those and do what you want anyways. Just say it was a prank or something.
Step 4. After an undetermined set of elections, we will eventually have a winner. To build off this excitement, I'd suggest announcing it at an awkward press conference that includes out of place, uncomfortable yelling/cheering.
Step 5. Bask in the inevitable praise that will rain down on the skillful execution.

I don't know if this is the place for it, but I'll go ahead and throw it here and see if anyone knows.
Where can a guy find the roster of the 2001 Championship team? UND's only goes back to 2003? It seems preposterous that isn't readily available there, but... -

A remodeled Memorial? No.
Phase II at the HPC is priority 1, 2 and 3 for the entire Athletic Department. President Kennedy also has put this as a high priority. WHEN that's done, then there is no reason to remodel Memorial. Memorial gets its "facelift" in Phase III when we get the new stadium with retractable roof that ties into the HPC in the Memorial Stadium footprint.
The anticipation for big donation(s) by UND may or may not be correct.
The rumors that I am donating tens of millions of dollars are completely unfounded, I'm afraid.

Using the FY16 report, let's look at what's been eliminated by participants:
Baseball 29
MSD 22
WSD 35
WIH 25Or, 51 male and 60 female participation slots. Knowing UND had too few spots for males before, this actually brings things toward balance.
How many on the golf team? There is a probability here

Do they still use the track at Memorial? State High School meet use to be held there.
Just for practice, not for any meets. Snow removal kinda ruined the track's ability to be used for competition.

sooo are we going to lose anyone with this Olympic mess?

What's interesting to me about Heitkamp going on ESPN, is that in 2014, her and Rick Berg were both at tailgating and neither were allowed into the Champion's Club, at least one point in the day, because they weren't Champion's Club members.... so what does that tell you?
I'm sure the Senator provides support back through the Alumni Association or some other form, and that was 3 years ago, but if that little observation was accurate in 2014; what does that say about the depth of those beliefs if they weren't back up by money?
If there was a misunderstanding that day, and she was a Champion's Club member, my apologies for the irrelevant anecdote.

It's my understanding that admin are being cut, with a machete rather than a knife to the tune of like 20%. Is that incorrect?

Wolanin could be our best player next year and he would still be the favorite whipping boy of many people. We wouldn't have even gone to overtime without his outstanding goal against BU. He's the only guy on the team capable of that type of play.
The guy who was playing last Saturday seemed like a different player than one from pre-Christmas this year.

Let's get back to talking about sports, Miller blog on O'Brein: http://millersports.areavoices.com/2017/03/30/what-obriens-injury-retirement-means-for-und-defense/
nice article summarizes the potential replacements. Anyone going to practice notice who is taking reps with which team?

Here's kind of the crux of it to me, and I don't mean to make light of the real emotions involved here. The question isn't whether they were right or wrong to cut these sports, but rather, what other tangible, real-life alternatives were possible? Everyone hates cutting sports. I don't think think there's that many sadists here who loved seeing hearts broken yesterday, but the fact of the matter is $1.3 million had to be cut. If not this, then what? It really is as much of a zero sum game as there is.

I, for one, think it's pretty cool that possibly the biggest additions to our big sky champion defending football team are home grown from Fargo and New Town.
