I believe that our program's performance is very cyclical, experiencing natural highs and lows over time. Historically, it seems that about every 10 years, we reach a pinnacle, followed by a period of decline. While it's disheartening to be in one of these low spots right now, if history has taught us anything, it's that we will bounce back. We just need to stay patient and supportive as we wait for the upswing.

I would be shocked if Carle left. You are on top of the college hockey world and have job security plus sounds like DU is possibly going to give him a raise.
No way DU is giving the kind of money he would see in the NHL, if a job in the NHL comes up and they want to hire him, he will take it.

I for one was really hoping Ludvig was going to be our Matt Davis. I suppose he was hurt towards the end and just never got his mojo back.

Happy for the NCHC not so much for DU but they earned it.

Davis doing everything to win this game for DU. He has given his team what we so hoped Ludvig would have given us. If DU holds on, they certainly deserve to win this. Hats off to them. Our coaches certainly need to do some soul searching. I don’t know how much more of our tournament performances we can take.

Well as much as it pains me to say this. I hope our coaches are watching and learning from 33 year old Coach David Carle on how you make adjustments and play to win. Not once has DU played the defensive shell game that seems to haunt us time and again. With that said DU is going to have their hands full today. I fully expect by the end of the day BC will have #6

Man these teams sure move the puck out of their zone well. Something we had issues with at times this year. Watching these teams really shows our deficits we had.

Du ain’t winning 10.

Celebrini a non factor today. DU basically did what we did to them back at the Ralph. Absolute non factor.

guess I didn't look closely at the date
No worries. I am sure he will sign. Just wondering what is taking so long. They said today but doesn’t seem like it. Probably could have announced it over the weekend too. Whatever works I guess.

Saw something on Twitter that says Blake's announcement will be tomorrow.
Yeah. That was yesterday, no?
-
Probably announce it tomorrow then??

Gee, that's a head-scratcher. It certainly isn't because of their head coaches. Successful teams rely on luck, culture & tradition to peak at the right time & go deep in the playoffs year-in, year-out.
All fairly large markets with nice amenities for the most part, with the exception of Duluth.

Hopefully we can get in on Whitelaw and/or Lucius.

They weren’t portal.
I suppose it helps if I read the post correctly. You are correct.

Of course. When has UND ever won a portal battle that includes Minn?
Boeser, Grimadli come to mind

I agree with you, but it's the end of the year now.
Absolutely, I was just pointing out how I didn't like the way he left.

Looking like no...he just entered the portal:
- UND F Michael Emerson (CAR) to portal (Chicago USHL)
I never did like when a player bails on a team midway through the year. I didn't like it when Tambelwennie did it and I don't like it now. To me that is not a good trait to have. When the going gets tough the tough get going. Don't like it.

Come on now everyone. Can't we all be friends.... Seriously though we all want the same thing, I appreciate everyone's passion.

Guessing he already knew Strinden since they are both drafted by the Predators. Probably have attended a couple development camps together.
Then why the sudden follow.

Talent. We are losing the recruiting battle.
That’s the easy answer. Not sure it’s entirely accurate. I just watched a less talented QU scare the crap out of a super talented BC and almost bounced them from this years tournament. That truly was a bounce going one way to advance BC. Talent is good but it isn’t everything.

We were talking about how Gaber disappeared a bit at the end of this season...what about Snuggerud??
When he announced he was coming back for this year, many guessed that he'd be a Hobey favorite...but that certainly didn't happen. Not even in the Hobey Top 10.
I'm guessing he'll sign shortly.Good chance of all #1 seeds advancing to F4...when's the last time that happened?
I never did see what all the hype was around Snuggerud. He has a hell of a shot but other than that he is a lazy player. He seems like he just coasts out there and all he is looking to do is shoot the puck on net. To hell with defense.

Yes, I agree with that if you are removing the NC drought from the conversation.
