The Golden Knights owner has said he'll help fund it, but not all of it.
Didnt one of the golden knights owners also help pay for sacred hearts new arena?

Our DC got hired because the last one resigned right before last season right? Perhaps they should have made the DC an interim and then hired a DC with a good resume after last season.

Per InForum.com:
... South Dakota State spends $8.8 million a year on football. North Dakota State is next at $6.41 million and the rest of the league goes as follows in millions: North Dakota $6.02, Missouri State $5.24, Southern Illinois $5.21, Illinois State $4.8, Youngstown State $4.71, South Dakota $4.45, Murray State $4.03 and Northern Iowa $3.8.
Note: SDSU's number includes debt service on stadium improvements.link?

Maybe there isnt a stream for competetive reasons? So the first D1 opponents cant scout? Streaming would certainly be nice for out of town Midco Sports + subscribers though. I was looking forward to watching tonight.

Has there been a release yet for the Summit CBSSN schedule?
CBSSN released their entire basketball slate a few days ago.
I think I counted 9 games, not counting the conf tournament. I think I counted St. Thomas, USD, Omaha, NDSU, and UND (vs Alabama) each hosting one game, and SDSU hosts 4 I believe?

This is interesting, but a very small sample size. Its interesting that neither Duluth or Denver are listed as UND's Rival and I would consider them the top 2 rivals to UND. Mn does nothing for me anymore, except for Pairwise implications and seeing how we stack up verses a good non-conference team.
I was also told by a Mankato fan the UND is their most hated team. That more Mankato fans are also fans of Mn, so they don't view them as a rival. Of course that was only one persons opinion
It shows that both have each other listed as a secondary rival. The lines are only displayed for everyone's primary rival, but if you click on a team, it will show the primary, two secondary's, and then any other schools that received votes. I'd love to see an option to include lines for schools that are mutually secondary rivalries. The data is there though if you click around.

This would be better if it was done by each team individually, in the NCHC alone everyone wants to be UNDs rival.
You can click on each team to see more data. Did you find the interactive part?

Someone put together a cool interactive rivalry map that shows rivalries, along with info about primary, secondary, and non reciprocal rivalries. Great article as well.
The creator conducted 700 surveys and he used that data to create the map.

Even if Jerry isn't good enough to be a starter, I would think it's important to get the backup in-game reps in case the starter gets hurt..
Example. Zimmerman was the backup in 2018 and only had two pass attempts. In 2019, starter went down vs Drake, and Zimmerman was forced to start the second game vs NDSU with essentially zero game experience.

Yeah, the backup QB at Michigan State who will gone next year. He has more pass attempts than our QB that is supposedly raw but has the higher ceiling than our starter. Michigan State is starting their redshirt freshman QB that has a higher ceiling - to develop him. UND doesn't even give our young backup snaps when they have the opportunity. I was comparing the two situations because they are similar in many ways, and because we happen to know MSU's backup QB. Not sure what your point is...

I disagree with the last sentence. Every coach on every time tries to. The question I’m asking is why don’t they succeed at improving it? It’s tough to find them I guess but we have given scholarships to guys that could hardly throw a forward pass. I have heard they really like Sulik fwiw. Also, Kaminski has to get more consistent. If he does that the job is his. I had heard he was wayyy too erratic when competing for the job.
Perhaps if Feeney had more than 23 career pass attempts he would have improved enough to be a viable QB. Instead of improving while at UND, he went from being the backup QB to getting beat out by the walk on. There has been plenty of opportunity both this year, last year, and in prior years to give the backups meaningful reps. Our current QB situation and the lack of improvement is because we don't give the backups game reps. It's kind of a joke that all of this years QB options were on the team last year, and knowing that Tommy was likely gone, they didn't care to get their next starter meaningful reps/experience. Now our current QB is Deer in headlights.

Kaminski looked to have some nice wheels and escapability when he was in there. Also helps that he’s way bigger than Simon. Give him 15 plays a game and see what happens.
He should have at least as many pass attempts as Tommy Schuster has had this year. There has been plenty of opportunity to get him some game experience. Why don't the coaches work to improve QB depth ever?

Talking with the other g fbs schools warning them not to do it.
it has to do with revenue sharing
Textbook example of a cartel. If schools wanted to form a new conference they would have a slam dunk antitrust case imo.

where's fenton and FBS Summit Football!!!!!!!!!! (and hockey)
The NCAA is changing their bylaws so conferences no longer have a minimum team sport requirement (non team sports will satisfy membership requirements now). As such, I'm not so certain I'm still on board with hockey being intertwined with the Summit League. Football would make a heck of a lot more sense though, IMO, but it's impossible to make a radical change like that with so much membership uncertainty. Can't stand the management of the MVFC.
