If they’re frustrated they should stop recruiting DEs who are the size of LBs. That portal offer to the gopher is a joke if they’re offering as a DE. 6’2” 230 lbs ain’t gonna get it done.

In S Cal, the pay will end up being less in real terms.
Will it now? I’d bet he makes out just fine at USC.

What are you guys even talking about here? You think this is a demotion? What world are you all living in?
USC is a blue blood powerhouse and is moving into a top 2 college league, they have access to 4 and 5 star recruits every year. Coaches revel in coaching at the highest level of ball they can. On top of that he’ll be making at least double what he does at ndsu. Where’s the downside for him?
I haven’t been a fan of Entz and honestly I’m happy he’s moving on, but to call this a demotion is absolutely bonkers.
Yea pretty ice cold takes out there. Plus he seemed to be getting a bit fatigued with being the HC IMO. This looks like a perfect move for him.

It wasn't a good showing for our offense (I was there), but you really think it was a woodshed event?
I agree with you here. We played terrible on offense and still led most of the game. That’s not getting taken out behind the woodshed.

I’d be happy w/ one OL / WR. Not sure how I feel about a RB. Happy with 20, 28, 29. Do agree you could always use a solid 4th. Not sure if you’d upset the current RB room though.
I think that fr we're bringing in is pretty solid and a strong runner.

I’d take Robertson back at UND. Had a solid first year. An example of the transfer portal grass not always being greener. Likely cost him two years as a starter
Nope. The door locks behind you.

Coaching staff isn’t going anywhere, so hoping a shakeup in mentality is there. Without a mass exodus, the players apparently have much less discontent than Most of this blog does. I am Glad to see we don’t have too many key players going into the portal. Now we need to pick up some instant help in multiple positions on d and an o lineman or 2 and see if the message was actually received and efforts being made. I still struggle in evaluating whether the individual talent on d was that bad or our schemes were atrocious. I don’t think individual talent can explain our third and long results over and over again…
Talent wise is was clear we weren’t fast enough on the edge. Imagine those third and longs with Turner coming off the edge instead of what we had this year. That’s probably a 2 game swing right there and we’re still playing.

Not trying to argue but USD has a pocket passer at QB and they're still playing.
That’s more to do with a defense that can do literally anything more than a wet paper bag would.

To the body language I would argue you can tell a lot without knowing football even. For example our defense. Their body language was terrible in a lot of games. It was the opposite against NDSU. Interestingly that was our best tackling game in the last 5 years.

how many times did you see bo's body language say "you've got to be kidding tommy".........i saw it a few times and so did some others.
what else could he have meant?????? has to aimed at someone that won't be here next year.....if all the coaches are coming back it aint them.....so it must be a player....so it must be a player that either graduated or entered the portal........so who did bo rely on the most do his job??? easton...kind of ...wright???? nope.............TOMMY? bingo.
Or just take the joke. I’m happy to see a new qb this next season.

Sounds about like when Bubba said "Leave no doubt" back around 2015. That didn't work out so well.
It reminds me of back in the day. Had a bad year. Next offseason was hard as hell. The next season was a success. The following offseason was not as hard. That season was not as successful with a more talented team.
IMO coaches need to prepare their team like their job is on the line every game. That’s the difference between a Nick Saban and the guys who taste the bottom of his boots.
