I'll agree with Wolanin and Bowen. Bowen has a heck of a motor ... I didn't realize he was that fast! One additional name for a breakout season in my mind is Cole Smith. He is strong and will be good on the boards. I think he'll get a regular shift and could triple his point production.

If Kawaguchi can distribute the puck anywhere near what he did in the playoffs with Chilliwack, I could see him in the middle between Gersich and Poganski. I could see Gardner with Janatuinen and Mismash. It truly is a crapshoot beyond that, but what a great problem to have. Anyone with a nagging injury can better afford to rest until it heals, which gives you a fresher and healthier team come playoff time.
Kawaguchi played LW for much of the BCHL playoffs... at least that is where he was listed on the line charts

The bottom 6 was way hard to peg.... I just don't see Simo sitting. He's too good defensively and with several young bodies on the ice, we need that stability, IMO.
...and I thought the Smith-Simonson-Olson line played really well together at the end of last year.

Janatuinen - Mismash - Bowen
Smith - Simonson - Olson
Hoff - Kawaguchi - Jones
Yon - Adams - Gornall
Poolman - Wolanin
Shaw - Peski
Johnson - Bast
Kiersted - Rieger
Not sure about playing 2 freshman up the middle but maybe towards the 2nd half of the season.

My best guess is that Rizzo will be considering his options once the RBC Cup is over.

Kiersted coming in too? How many D do we have total now, 9?
That's what I count. Wolanin, Shaw, Chartrand, Peski, Johnson, Poolman, Bast, Rieger, Kiersted

On a side note, it looks like Mr. Fylling is a defense lawyer in Bismarck now.

I believe Quinn Fylling did that about 10 years ago.
That is the situation I was thinking of

So long Tomek! I wish you nothing but happiness and the best.
I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.
Again, best of luck. Hope you put up some solid stats in the USHL and continue your development!
He could still come back to UND.

Are the coaches allowed to work with the players until the end of the academic year?

I sent an email to nchc regarding the poor quality for all of the games I've tried watching this season. Received an email back saying that they've corrected the issue. I'm in wait and see mode.

Reading this article makes it sound like the Rizzo will not decide on a college until just before he is college eligible.
"This is the right choice for this year and next year he re-evaluates what the best opportunity for development is then,"
