I think it’s more likely a battle to be on Gardner’s line since he’s the top 6 center looking for new linemates. I don’t see them breaking up the Mismash- Jones-Guch line if we already know it works. Especially considering the struggles to find lines that work this last season.

I agree with this and this is what I was assuming with my previous question. My hope is that Hain or Weatherby can step up. I also agree about Adams but I think a good high energy line could be Adams-Hoff-Bowen (3rd line)

Just wanted to get the conversation going... thanks for playing

When is Rizzo supposed to make his decision? Are people still high on this guy? IF we were to land him, would he be here next year, or in two years.

I think we’d take him. 38 points in 50 games in BCHL as a 16 year old. 7 points in 8 games so far in playoffs. He’ll turn 17 this summer

Randklev with another hatty last night in the first round of playoffs.  Understand he's still in HS and a 19, but the doom and gloom in this thread have to be glad to see someone in the pipeline putting up goals :)

...and Ryder Donovan put up a goal and an assist.  He ended up tied for the state lead in assists as a junior.

Are we certain Hain is coming in for sure next year? His stock has really fallen in the last year and it wouldn't hurt to have him play a year in the USHL after his year with the NTDP.

This was my thought.  Hain is having a similar year to what Gersich did at the NTDP ... a bit off from Shane.  Then, Shane went and lit up the USHL.  It may benefit Hain to do the same.

Anyone else a little concerned that a good number of our commits are "struggling in juniors"?

Weatherby still leads the BCHL in scoring.  Tychonick is 4th in BCHL defensemen scoring.  Gavin Hain is putting up over a half point per game playing against some pretty good competition.  These are the three that will likely be regulars in the lineup next season.  I've read great things about Senden's character and from the description of his game he projects as a Mario Lamoureux/Jonny Simonson type.  Keane has struggled.  Oh, and Adam Scheel is being lauded as Penticton's MVP this year...although it will likely go to their point producing BSU commit.  I'm excited to see what the younger guys can do next year in their respective leagues (esp. Caulfield, Donovan, and Ethan Bowen).

BTW, Jacob Bernard-Docker seems ready to come in next year which really jams up the D position.  Thoughts?  Does he stay on with Okotoks or go to the USHL? Or...?

It won’t be Kawaguchi sitting. It’ll probably be Yon.

    I hope Peski is back.

My concern with Gardner’s absence isn’t Jones replacing him on that top line, it’s who replaces Jones on the 2nd.

Here is my best guess for Friday:

    Gersich Jones Poganski
    Smith Simonson Olson
    Janatuinen Hoff Bowen
    Mismash Adams Kawaguchi
  7. Nervous about this series.. without Gardner, who sits?  Yon or Kawaguchi.  Do we keep the S.O.S. line together?  Will Peski be back?  If so, what will the D-pairings look like? So many questions ... just wanted to get the chatter going again for this series.
