  1. We can lose tomorrow and we would still be a # 2 seed the farthest we will drop is to # 7 unless something crazy happens. Certainly not the way to go into the big dance but win tomorrow and start to roll towards the the hardware that counts

Thanks for the info...the goof announcers were talking a drop to a 10...Seven is as good as five. I just wanted to get to denver and get a Number one seed...

  2. Anyone know what this lose does to us in the pairwise? I still think we are a 2 seed. But can we fall to a 3 if we lose tomorrow

This loss will probably sink us to 10 and a three seed in the region...if were not careful, we won't have to worry about playing BU or BC (I know, they are probably totally out of contention, but wtf) in the FF...we'll be in the NE region playing the bean pot...

  3. First time Duluth has gone into championship game ?

since the frozen five format...last time was 1985 according to the gopher appologists who, amazingly, just said the the UMD goalie could have gone to the UofM but the Lucia-pet chose another...wow...

  4. Hak in his pre-tournament statements: "if your blood is not boiling, there is something wrong". Guess what, there is something wrong.

Why the *#)%_%^*#) can't UND get up for playoff games in the Final Five? They haven't performed there in longer than I can remember.

Maybe he was talking about ours....I know mine is right now...

Just what the sioux needed, a pk with under 5 to go, down by 2...nice going Finley. that is priceless...

  5. how the fk can they bring right to the net, take a shot, get a rebound and miss a wide-open net...snake bitten...they are gripping their sticks a little too tightly now...good...if they can just break thru on this 4 on 4, all hell is going to break loose..

  6. We've actually had 21 SOG to their 17...

That's right...their goalie is playing great and keeping them in it. They want it more cuz most of the battles to the puck are ties at first and then somehow they out muscle the sioux and get it out of the zone along the boards...and then across the red line, dump, one man in unless there is a real contest...trap, trap, trap...yawn...

  7. I'm trying to put this game in perspective...it's a college game and, as such, is sloppy and full of mis-steps. Consider that through two periods UND has at least 8 giveaways and Duluth has at least seven. Who can watch that???

So we have the weaker team jumping out to a lead on a couple of very untimely and lucky goals and then just plays the trap for the rest of the game...boring...the style UMD is playing is making the sioux look ineffective because they are...it is well known that if you want to beat the sioux, just play the trap...nobody but genoway can carry the puck thru the neutral zone...

  8. Feinhage practically scored that goal himself

    1-0 Wisco

I was thinking the same thing right around then. He must have been very nervous his first home conference game. Lot's of turnovers. He did not play well until about 1/3 of the second period was over...then he seemed better.

  9. It would not surprise me with Ford. Henry Ford was a supporter of Adolf Hitler so I suppose there is some face to be saved even in stupid ways like this. Ford's market share is like 19% and declining and we probably won't have to worry about it being around much longer. Maybe it should have better things to worry about than a nickname right?

That's ok. I've been "boycotting" their product for years. Friends don't let friends drive Fords.

  10. Totally agree AZ! What a win. Interestingly enough, I never got upset in this game, even down 4-1. I was pleased with how they played as a whole, and I just felt like it might be one of those games where you don't get bounces.

I just got back from the game and I haven't read all the posts. But, overall you were pleased with the six odd-man rushes they gave up in the first ten minutes of the second period??? Two led to goals. The fourth goal was due to a complete lack of effort on the part of the sioux defense and center. I'm just wondering what was said on the bench and in the locker after that performance and the unbelievable performance of Duncan, Oshie and Kozek beginning at about the 15 minute mark of the second period.

Anyway, what a great win. To gut it out and take it back after basically giving it away. Wow...Great Win GREAT WIN...

  11. I've got my game-worn Porter UND jersey. I'm looking forward to the day I can wear it to a Blues game and cheer on one of my all-time favorite UND players...With the kind of resolve and determination that he has, it won't be long...

  12. BADger fans obviously do not remember Robbie Earl. The biggest cheater in college hockey. Earl was a total Loser!

Yes...where is Robbie the Diver now? I'll never forget him crawling off the ice at the end of his shifts during the regional finals. As I recall, there were 35 other skaters who were in good enough shape to skate the extra two periods so his theatrics were really amazing at the time. I'm pretty sure there is an acting career awaiting him when he's finally done skating or crawling or whatever he's doing in minor hockey.

  13. All semi-auto shotguns jam at some point - that is why police use pump shotguns - They are the most reliable

    BisonDan I bet your right

Neah...too much chance of getting off the target when operating the action... At room temperature, a semi-auto rarely jams...happens more often to new guns rather than used, loose actions. Benellis are a problem because they have a rotating locking bolt that is very succeptible to dirt and powder residue. I would never buy one of those, especially since they are so over priced. Anyway, Keep it clean, no worries.

Goon: I have a Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon Grade 5 , 12 gauge, 28" barrel in "as new" condition I'll sell you...comes with case, chokes and all case candy.
