I don't care how many times we get to the Frozen Four.
It means NOTHING if we end the season like this.

I didn't give the Sioux a chance after the first 10 min but they did a good job of getting their skates under them. They still seem to struggle with the puck, and the difference in these teams is that when the puck squirted through traffic the talented BU player was able to corral it on his backhand and score into the open net. When that happened on our PP it slipped by Schmaltz before he noticed it....missed opportunity.
And Zane had to make that save. Coaches talk about "timely saves". That was a bogus penalty, and even more reason why Zane has to save that shot.
Fortunately there is a lot of game left, and if the Sioux keep this going they should have some chances to score and maybe tie it up. Seems like it would be a great thing if we can stay out of the box going forward.
Gotta get the next goal, or we're in big trouble.

I get why Wal-Mart wanted to be close to I-29, but I continue to be surprised that there's not more retail development on the east side of the Red. Between the zero sales tax on clothing and the open before noon on Sundays, you would think that would be a draw.
Not to mention $500,000 business loans that you don't have to pay back!

No need to try again because I am right. That isn't dirty, dirty is going around instigating fights. What you call running like a chickensh*t I call taking the high road and being above such dirty tactics. Anybody who cries about the way Matt Cooke plays hockey should take up a non-contact sport like badminton. Trying to instigate a fight over it shows poor sportsmanship and a lack of composure.
Get a clue. The loser is one dirty hit from being banned from the NHL. Matt Cooke is not a hockey player, he is a classless punk plain and simple.

Yet apparently some here want us to be. Win that one championship surrounded by years of mediocrity. But we have that "natty!"
Or maybe compete every year and win a national every 5 years or so. Or maybe even win 2 or 3 in a row! Or just be good losers and be content with the fact that you are competitive every year.

After reading through this thread, I have to say that this is some of the most bigoted and ignorant !@#$ that I've read on this website. If you think your "values" or "culture" are better than others because of the color of your skin or where your ancestors came from then you're an idiot and an absolute disgrace of an American.
Our values are better than others...that's why ND has always had the lowest crime rates in the US. If you want something you work for it, if you screw up there will be consequences. That's how I and all my childhood friends were raised. Although I don't know that it has anything to do with ancestry or skin color. Just good solid parenting.

How about just sticking with green and white if no new nickname is not an option? That way we are not really being pushed into a new identity, we've always been green and white.
Because Green and "white" is obviously racist. No sane black, hispanic, or other minority athlete would tolerate that!

If this guy is such a great coach, why hasn't the NHL snapped him up? Because he can't win the big one.Can't motivate his players. No one has done less with so much talent over the last 10 years. Frozen 4 record says it all. Got to seize the moment. That's the difference between a great coach like Craig Bohl and a good coach like Hak.

While I concede that some people can't handle their liquor and therefore should not drink, the fact of the matter is that it is legal to enjoy an adult beverage if you are old enough. If you smoke pot you're breaking the law no matter how old you are. You may not like like the law but you must still obey it. If you intentionally show a lack of respect for the law and disobey it you are no better than any other common criminal.
In 10 years or less it will be legal. And here in Colorado you will pay far more for a speeding ticket than you will for possession of marijuana. Which makes sense. Speeding is far more dangerous.There are well over 100,000 perfectly legal medical users in the state. It's just a weed albeit a very useful and helpful weed.
