"Call it both ways" is something I've heard going back about 30 years.  Statistics show that the home team typically gets the benefit of some calls because of the influence of the home fans cheering or booing as certain calls are made as well as the home coach giving the referees an earful.  Last night's games was an example of both of those happening.

Maybe the latter but the home fans at Magness are always completely drowned out by Sioux fans. Really no home ice advantage there.

Let’s talk drugs, but not in the football forum. Who thinks we should go full blown Portugal and legalize everything and provide clean needles?

Just the natural stuff. Weed, shrooms, cocoa leaves. Nothing good about needles.

And here we go.  We have a half dozen guys posting that if they were head coach, smoking pot would be required because of the 'benefits' and it is 'harmless', not addictive, and doesn't lead to anything else.  LMFAO!!

    Ridiculous hyperbole.

Go on Facebook, and every time there is a post by UND hockey (their official page) there are tons of fans bashing anyone saying anything positive about the Hawks name. Lots of Sioux forever, you mean go Sioux, the Hawk logo with an X for an eye among others. It's not bad when it's on the UND basketball, football or volleyball pages, very little Hawk bashing, but it's mostly on the hockey page. So saying the hockey only fans have moved on is very premature.

I don't know anyone who has moved on. But

The one thing that I think the so called "Siouxforever" fans fail to realize is that we agree with them on the principle of their argument.  The overwhelming majority of UND fans wanted to keep the Sioux name back in 2005 when this really got started with the letter from the NCAA.  We all agreed that the NCAA was wrong with their assessment that having native american nicknames/mascots/logos created a "hostile" environment.  We all agreed that political correctness was getting way out of hand and was apparent here as well.  We all were hoping for a better nickname.  We all were hoping for a better logo.

But like it or not, this is the world we live in.  And in this world, Fighting Hawks is the nickname for UND and the logo represents it.  Should the NCAA have stayed out of the nickname issue, yeah.  Could UND have come up with a better nickname, sure.  Could SME come up with a better logo, sure.  But all of those battles/debates/fights/etc are over now.  There is no reason to keep fighting them, and resisting the change associated with them.

We were all "Siouxforever" fans at one point in this process.  Slowly more and more people accepted the fact that UND being the Sioux forever was not going to happen.  We are all fans cheering for the same teams and athletes.  That fight and passion we all had when we were united in our fight with the NCAA should be focused on cheering on UND.  The nickname battle may technically be over, but it is still going on in our fanbase.  I am hopeful that all UND fans will finally accept the Fighting Hawks name and logo for what it is: a symbol of the great University which we all cheer for.

Won't be happening with me. Despise the name, despised the process. Won't spent one penny on the new merchandise. You will just have to wait for me to die off.

I guess in that case my skin in the game is that I live in Grand Forks and want what I feel is best for my town.

Yep, there's a reason Fargo has doubled it's population in the last 40 years and left Grand Forks in the dust.

This thread is the digital embodiment of the mentally-deranged homeless guy slumped over on the subway who occasionally wakes and erupts with incoherent blather.

    Time to lock it down.

Because you don't agree with the content?

Let's stop living in the past. In 2017 Fleury led the Penguins to a series win over the President's Trophy winning Capitals in spite of being outshot in literally every game by an average of about 10 shots per game. That alone shows how great he is right now even if his productivity was less than that half a decade ago.

    That's 1 year out of 7. That constitutes a fluke...an aberration.

As far as I know, it's not possible. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

YouTubeTV is a new live TV streaming service, and one of its included channels is CBS Sports Network, BUT it's not available for trial/purchase yet. No other streaming service carries it, and it doesn't appear possible with "TV Everywhere" with cable providers. Really hamstrung as a cord-cutter, lol.

Edit: These cable providers allow you access to stream the channel live via the app: Cox, Buckeye, Frontier, Optimum, WOW

I am able to watch March madness live with the app.  Hopefully will be able to watch the games Friday. I don't have cable.
