Just for the record Zippy since you're so great, perfect and never, never, never, never, never make a mistake, ever, I was typing that reply and when I looked up to see my 2 1/2 year old daughter running down the hall with a sippy cup in her hand and she was spilling juice all over the rug and just hit the post button and forgot to come back to said post.

Chili Feed and Silent Auction for Bruce Marden - GF resident recently diagnosed and undergoing treatment for leukemia. I can't post the total list here but the silent auction has a TON of signed sports memorabilia from both the college and pro ranks including LOTS of signed Sioux items (Football Helmet and LOTS of STICKS!) - NFL (Kleinsasser and Bollinger) and NHL (MANY!) signed items - Chris Coste MLB items - LOTS of Sioux signed jerseys and pics left over from the Italian Moon renovation - its a great opportunity for autograph collectors if you're in the GF area Saturday night please stop in! It's all for a good cause!

Conventional Wisdom would have been to drop the word "Fighting" and tried harder to make nice with the two main tribes, using the official name "Sioux". If that move had been made 10 years ago the nickname might have had a better chance of being more widely accepted by tribes, ncaa, opponents, etc. If I was a Sioux tribe descentant, I would not like the word fighting associated with me heritage. Just an opinion of how things might have been different in this situation.
