when you have a handful of underage student-athletes drinking and needing to be taken to the hospital, it's just kids being kids. when it's another schools fans, they're stupid drunks. ever notice how many "fans" are in the bars at the REA, not watching, while the game is going on? hypocrites

Well then, if that's the criteria let me be the first to say that I am offended by NDSU's use of the Bison nickname.
As soon as a Bison, Grizzly, Hawkeye, Jackrabbit, Gopher, etc. comes out saying it is offended by any schools/sports teams use of their likeness, then the outrage can happen. you are none of those, so you being offended is irrelevant.

So UND squeaks out a 4-3 win over a club team. Wow, what a ringing endorsement for NCAA hockey.
well it is the second tier of pre-NHL hockey, after the CHL.

So how do u get a 18-22 year old kid pumped up for a game that doesn't count?
when the majority of your roster is Canadians, they should have no problem getting excited to play a Canadian school.

You have a link to that thread? I ask because the only thread i saw over there doesn't have any of the things you're saying. Of course you could be full of it........
could be full of it? he grabbed comments from a few fans (fans, not school officials) on their board who would have preferred to be in the MVC over the SL. but this is just another step in his routine: digging up crap, throwing it at the wall, hoping it sticks, then vigorously patting himself on the back when something does stick

_____Volley, your thoughts on Oral Roberts returning to the Summit? I didn't see any prognostication from you about this, is your crystal ball functioning correctly? or are you full of crap like the rest of us are?

I remember the day nobody could refer to the team as Fighting Sioux anymore.
The announcer stumbled on his words, almost saying it several times. Leaving the game and listening to TH on 96 while driving home stumbling on his words trying not to say Sioux!
Now everyone is in denial, including me. They are the Sioux, dammit! The players comment on twitter, they hash tag Sioux. The players interviewed for Through these doors and etc... They say "fighting Sioux". The players huddle around the goalie at the start of the game, they break by saying "Sioux"!
Maybe they, we, everyone needs to let go?
Pay money, have a team of lawyers work for it, or just plain lobby to get the name back!
Or just let it go.
They have not been the same since that day! At least in my opinion they haven't. The only thing I want more than them warriors to be called the fighting Sioux is....to play as a team like they used to, to be feared like they used to be. To have coaches from the opponents team say "if we can weather the storm here in the first period we have a chance to win"
It just hasn't been the same team since that day.
Fire Hakstol, save nickname?

Not to change the already thread-drifted subject, but you surely must have a HD TV or two in your house by now don't you Dave? Even the 1080 Smart TV's are dirt cheap now, or are you waiting for yours to die first?
all those VHS he's got laying around don't turn out too well on a HD TV

Wow, what a follow-up. Not accurate, but quite witty.
I have a challenge for you: provide factual evidence to back up your claim that NDSU fans only care about football, WITHOUT citing bisonville or siouxsports.
Sidenote: as my intent was to be witty, I have no factual evidence to support my claim that UND fans only care about hockey.
-
Most NDSUAAS fans seem to think that the school exists basically for football.
On a similar note, most UND fans think that the school exists basically for hockey.

For the butt hurt you seem to be suffering from today

Nice to see the POTUS add his two cents to the conversation today. Tackle those important issues -the deficit, Kenya, healthcare, a budget...that all can wait.
I'm sure that was the only question the AP asked him in that interview
-
-
it was the only air time UND will get on ESPN until the hockey team proceeds to choke in the playoffs (again).
-
The lack of class will tarnish what is supposed to be a positive day for NDSU football. This is national television; that stuff will make them look bad.
because everybody will think they're nuts for saying some lady named sue sucks.
-
I don't think he's reached the 100yd mark against them.
your commentator a few minutes ago said he hasn't had more than 46 yards in a single game against NDSU.

nice DII broadcast today.

In the more nationally relevant sport, Bison sweep UND today 1-0, 9-3.

It is a money pit. Worked better in the NCC when all the opponents were a short drive away. I love the sport of baseball, just don't think it is worth all the red ink it will bleed and be non-competetive at this level in this climate. Money better spent elsewhere..........
and now the baseball team gets to play in the WAC, where it's going to bleed more money.

Well at least you got the Herald to finally report it.
When do I get my job offer to be an investigative reporter for the Herald?

Anybody care to elaborate on the definition of "unlawful delivery to certain persons"? or why there are 5 players in an on going legal process involving "unlawful delivery to certain persons". maybe that's why the team has been playing so poorly as of late.
for reference, the case numbers
18-2012-CR-03075
18-2012-CR-03084

look at the little storm I caused with one little post.

The Big East catholic schools have made their departure official.
They did not persue dissolving the Big East and will just leave to form a new conference in 2015. They will likely add additional schools such as Xavier, Butler, Creighton, etc. to get to 10 or even 12. The remaining Big East FBS schools are going to have to add additional schools to turn what remains into a full fledged olympic conference. These are both going to send waves through the conference realignment, too.
Wouldn't be surprised in the least if this doesn't make its way down to the Summit.
with how concerned some of you are about the future of the Summit League, you would think UND was a member of the conference.

keep calling it JV football so you can feel better about your hockey team, which plays JV hockey, right behind the varsity hockey played in the CHL
