Why is that? Because someone who even commented on FB that she knows half the people and they aren't UND students, must be high right.
Her comment got a lot of likes in the comment section on VNL's FB page when they posted the story.
so let me get your logic straight, being from Fargo and not being a UND student automatically means they're NDSU-related? by your own logic, that makes you an NDSU person.

So the answer to the Sioux's conference position is to join a weak conference like the Summit? Thanks senor_sieve for your interest in UND athletics. My uninformed guess is that UND is happy where it is. btw, baseball is a pretty big deal here in Arizona and at Grand Canyon.
btw, it's not a big deal in Grand Forks, unless you're playing NDSU. 8 straight losses in conference play. No post season for UND this year. have fun getting spanked by Sac State to end the season, making it 11 straight conference losses. cant win the ones that matter. #butwebeatthebison

the number of FU trolls that frequent here is a microcosm of why UND is and will continue to be more influential than FU - they can't stop monitoring us and making sure they respond to every comment so we understand how superior FU is. Once again there is a story about who is #1 and who is #2 and it's in the same order it usually is...buttfootball.judging by the timing and content of the article, this sounds exactly like what the Herald did by writing the article. "O no! UND hasn't done a whole lot recently to make the headlines like that school down south. Let's write a story about another media outlet's research story so we can make sure everybody in Grand Forks can feel good about UND again...and we need to sell more newspapers."

I love how head to head no longer matters. I highly doubt that Kentucky/Louisville or Auburn/Alabama or other instate rival fans feel the same...unless you are the team losing. Yup FU mens BB had a great season I could almost root for them if it wasnt for their trolls

I venture up to the ol' Nazi Memorial Rink once or twice a year to cheer on the opponent. I may or may not be a fan of a current conference foe. I've noticed a good chunk of your fan base knows little to nothing about hockey, other than that the puck is supposed to go into the net. I'm a little confused that a program with such a storied history has a fan base that knows so little about basic aspects of hockey. I can understand not having a grasp of schemes and styles of play, but not knowing what offsides is? or icing? really?

We don't know for a fact that Idaho "won" the negotiations beyond the fact that they found a home for their FBS football program. You assume there is some grand Sun Belt-Big Sky agreement, which you admittedly have no evidence of beyond speculation. It's fun to think about and hope that Big Sky and UND administrators are super-competent and have a master plan. But, again, there is no evidence of that. Maybe you'll find the elusive Sun Belt-Big Sky agreement and have something.

not the entire women's athletic department. Women's track and field and softball do pretty dang well. soccer is mediocre, but volleyball and basketball are awful.

Didn't USA Hockey decide that they only wanted 1 affiliate in town? They didn't want to keep dealing with multiple groups in different towns. Being affiliated with USA Hockey is pretty important. I'm pretty sure that's why they put all of hockey under the Park Board.

In a FOIC request, some states require a statement in the request that the information may be publicly disseminated through the press or internet. I didn't do that in the emails.
Bison fans are winning the 6th fan vote by the NCAA because they spend so much time casting thousands of meaningless votes. Imagine if they believed this was really an issue: they would try to stop it either through NCAA channels or spring the legislature / SBoHE in action by bombarding the Bison caucus. Its best that its kept stealth for as long as possible.
Is $100,000 in scholarship funding really meaningless? or are you just down playing it because UND isn't contending for that money?
What does UND offer to an FBS conference that would make the school worth adding?

The Lakes faction at NDSU wants to go FBS. If UND / Big Sky with the Sun Belt even attempted it, there would be an outcry among bison fans like you have never heard. They would be all over the FCS boards and realignment boards and the SBoHE at trying to stop an FBS move by Big Sky schools, because they would be possessed by jealousy (only rivaled by their braggard ways and insecurity.) For that reason, I'm not sharing any FOIC information on this board. Bison fans are convinced I'm delusional, and that's ok, because my track record speaks for itself. If Bison fans just can't understand how UND could finance FCS, they won't fathom UND at FBS until it is too late to do anything about it.
I thought you weren't sharing because Idaho told you not to? now you're not sharing because you don't want Bison fans to know. which one is it?

Wow are you clueless. Research some facts before making yourself look like an idiot. I guess Toews, Parise, Oshie, Greene, and many more made the wrong choice to come play for the Sioux. What were they thinking.
there's never been an NDSU football player that's played in the NFL. There's never been a UND player that has gone on to play in the NFL. and there's never been an FCS player that's gone on to play in the NFL. FCS and BCS both generate NFL players, one just happens to produce more, just like the NCAA and CHL both produce NHL players, one just happens to produce more. but again, keep putting down your schools football team, that has also produced professional players, to stroke your hockey ego.
(there's a lot of sarcasm up for those of you that don't recognize that)

About 30-35% of NHL players are former NCAA players might want to do a little research next time before you try to call NCAA hockey JV to the CHL/MJ's because they are pretty much on the same page except one can get paid and one can't.
NCAA produces 30% (at least that's what they said in their own commercial that aired during the world juniors) and the CHL produces well over 40%. The NHL says you're the JV. but hey, keep putting down your own schools football program to feel better about yourselves.
