I have never understood that mentality. They're on the verge of winning 5 straight....and they are thinking of team that didn't even make the playoffs. But we have those same fans too ....no matter who we are playing or what we are playing for, all we can talk about are the Bison or Gophers.

You're exactly right....their secondary was the weak link...mainly at CB during the first part of the season.

Personally, I think he does a very good job calling football and hockey games. Actually, he's one of the better football announcers I have heard on TV for small time college sports. I also watched last night's game on my iPad. He did fine. I enjoyed the broadcast. Both hosts and Kaite were well prepared.
I can imagine it takes a lot of work in your off time being able to be proficient at play-by-play for both sports. Hammer knows his hockey inside and out. It's fun listening to some of the things he has to say. Hammer is a nice person. He doesn't deserve some of the guff he takes from the fans.
A lot of what you say here might be true....but don't kid yourself, Hammer does not know the game of hockey inside and out.

BC has a tough stretch ahead in the next month. Providence twice ....BU twice....at Notre Dame ....Harvard(Beanpot)....BU/Northeastern(2nd game of Beanpot).

Joel Heitkamp (former UND backer) and Jack Michaels our very recent radio play by play guy also gushing all overthe Bison on the radio. Scott Miller used to be our play by play guy for UND sports of course now has been with NDSU for a long time. Brian Shawn is the TV announcer for Bison football. I believe Brian is a UND grad and was almost a sideline reporter for UND a couple years ago. Ed Schultz was an announcer for both programs. These media people sure change their colors in a hurry sometimes.
Pat Sweeney would never gush about the bizon.

Does anyone know the discrepancy between the CHN PWR rankings and USCHO? In USCHO we are 5, and CHN we are at 3...
I noticed that too. Jim Dahl and USCHO both have our RPI at .6139.....CHN has it at .6154.
