If that's the criteria ... both teams are done and can be compared

    WMU 24 games, 33 pts: 1.375 ppg
    DU 22 games, 31 pts: 1.409 ppg

    DU finishes fifth, WMU sixth.

CC with 18 points in 22 games; Miami with 18 points in 24 games: CC seventh, Miami eighth.

Basically, everything is now locked but SCSU/UMD for second/third.

    Here's the question:

If SCSU(today 14-9-0-0-2-3)/UMD (today 13-8-2-1-1-1) end up tied with 44 pts (meaning UMD wins in OT), who finishes second?

    EDIT:

To my eyes (on these goofy standings) it looks like UMD has to win in regulation to finish second. If they win in OT or SO, yes, points are tied at 44, but SCSU will have more regulation wins and I think that's first tie breaker.

First tie breaker is head to head....

Loved seeing the two teams shake hands and hug it out at the end. The awards at the end was pathetic. Happy to see them play but shame on NDHSAA for not even trying to do the awards in a normal way.

Handshakes and hugs... but can't hold the entire tournament in one venue. Makes alot of sense!

Don't worry.  As long as there's still tape out there from the Rudy years no one is ever going to be believe it.

Rudy is gone. He is not coming back. He can't hurt you anymore.

Imagine being Chris Dilks.....running a college hockey website.  And then not knowing the rule that it doesn't matter if the puck is deflected out or not, any shot directed on net stays in the zone.....:silly:

.....or the head coach of a division 1 team.

That doesn't make any sense since the league makes money off fan attendance. Any amount of revenue from attendance makes the conference a little bit of money.

Other teams not wanting fans in a tournament held at the home of the best team in the league and has the largest fan base doesn't make any sense to you?

College Hockey News Top 16 remains relatively unchanged - no love for Army despite their hot streak.  But I get it, i wouldn't put two teams in the field from that conference.

Here is this week's projection - based on the bus vs. plane mentality that the NCAA seems to really be standing behind, likely resulting in some west teams staying west and east teams staying east.  Conference matchups are often avoided but that may not be feasible this year as bracket integrity also needs to factor in.  Expect some hot takes on March 20th.

Midwest (Fargo)   North Dakota (1) vs. American International / St. Cloud St. vs. Minnesota-Duluth

West (Loveland)  Minnesota (2) vs. Clarkson / Michigan vs. Omaha

Northeast (Albany)   Minnesota St. (4) vs. Bowling Green / Wisconsin vs. UMass

East (Bridgeport)  Boston College (3) vs. UConn / Boston vs. Quinnipiac

SCSU and Duloot cant play first round

Looking for the 2005 Frozen Four semifinal against Minnesota.  I believe Travis Zajac and Erik Fabian each scored twice to lead UND into the title game.  Have looked on YouTube and never seen even a snippet of that game.  Anybody find an old vhs laying around with that on it, please let me know.

What a great day....goof fans shooting their mouth off at breakfast.....checking out of the hotel after the game.

Actually that wasn’t a washout, look close. He put his hands in the air after the whistle as officials do sometimes.  His body language clearly shows he wasn’t certain where the puck was. Additionally, # 16 celebrating certainly added another element of complexity.   Anyone that has officiated HS or higher can appreciate how fast this all happened on the ice.

    Yeah it's not a washout.

When was the last time before yesterday that football home attendance was greater than hockey home attendance?  I was pleasantly surprised as many fans turned out for football after seeing the struggles hockey has had.

Just a guess, one reason could be more football season ticket holders got their tickets than hockey.
