I knew BC was losing as soon as I saw him say that.
Stupid thing to say. Why, why would anyone say crap like that???

That quote is already not aging well.

Do we get to hang a banner for taking 3 of 4 from Denver this year
I know that CC fans will be calling for a banner that says, “last team to beat DU”

Can’t remember who but before the game started, one of the BC players commented about all the crying that will be happening over there on the other side.

Didn’t watch the game, was it one of those games where the stats were irrelevant, or was BC just more opportunistic? Or did Michigan just start to press when they fell behind?
Michigan came out like a house on fire the first minute of the game and then BOOM! BC gets the puck and storms down the ice for a two on one and a goal a minute and 20 seconds into the game. They are so explosive.

No need to wonder because we couldn't get past Michigan. Plus, you're assuming that we would've beat Michigan State too.
I was just more making an observation of BC. Not sure anyone from our regional could’ve beaten BC last night.

Man, watching BC handle Michigan with relative ease last night made me wonder how UND would have fared had they advanced. BC is so dang fast and skilled.

...and if the Quinnipiac player could have put the puck into a wide open net, BC would be having their mass exodus right about now. That guy has got to be seeing that wide open net in his nightmares.
Gawd….Forever! Maybe he was a bit shocked and surprised at how alone he was and having the puck land right on his tape?!

For having a pretty successful year, CC is losing a lot of players. What's the story?
Three of them are underclassmen who’ve hardly gotten a whiff of playing time and the others in the portal are 6 seniors with one year eligibility left. My guess is, with who Mayotte has coming in this fall, there simply isn’t room for any of them. Now there was one of them who entered the portal last year and then ended up rescinding and staying at CC so that’s a possibility as well. All six seniors who are in the portal are capable players. Their goals and assists don’t jump out at you but they’re all good, reliable players.

Cooper Moore was a goal away from St Paul.
Moore had made a great block and swept the puck out of the zone and out of harms way a few minutes before BC actually tied it up. Got kudos from Buchi for that defensive play.

I see another 3 CC players have entered the portal. Two sophomores and a freshman who were either sparingly used or didn’t play at all.
-
It’ll be interesting to see which UND players land in the portal. Or is that being discussed already in another chat?

I wonder what is in David Carle’s secret sauce that UND seems to be lacking? Anything Berry & Co. can learn from Denver? Opening Pandora’s box to replies with this one…

This year’s NCAA champion will either be hanging title #10 or from Boston. Gross.
Yes. Picking someone to root for is like picking the least dirty pair of underwear out of the hamper.

That Quinnipiac forward who missed a gaping net that would’ve put them up by two in the third is going to have nightmares.
-
I seem to recall Jake Brandt raving about UAF D man Caleb MacDonald a lot when they played UND in January. I see he’s in the portal now.

They have all played 4 years of College. I think guys enter the portal to keep options open if they want to possibly play the extra Covid year. I heard it might be tough for them to stay at CC as well due to their academics as they don't have many grad school programs.
Yah, exactly-CC only offers 1 graduate level degree, in education so that limits a guy’s academic options should he want to play a fifth year. Bryan Yoon did that last season for CC.

Count em, 5 CC Tiger seniors to the Portal. With what Mayotte is building it makes sense that those guys wouldn't be brought back.
What sayeth @Godsmack?
Yah, he’s got some high end recruits coming in this fall and I’m sure there simply isn’t room for some of these seniors. There’s some solid upperclassmen for CC in the portal that shouldn’t have any problems finding new homes and I wouldn’t be surprised if Mayotte does everything he can to help these guys land someplace. Logan Will comes to mind as a really good faceoff guy who could really help a team in that regard.

SCSU goalie Basse is in the transfer portal.
Basse appears to have lost his starting job at some point in the second half of the season to freshman Isak Posch.

Some our celes lately have been over the top. Not sure if our cele in the second period against Michigan was the best decision. Also, tossing the twig into the stands at CC two seasons ago in overtime was not in good taste either. Credit CC for not returning the favor at the Ralph this year. Crap like that should be reigned in by the coaches.
