What is the chance that UND will be able to play DU in the NCAA tournament? If these two teams meet again there will be fists of fury. And there should be. Paukovich should pay more than a one game suspension for what he did. I'm not saying go Bertuzzi on him, but pound his face in nice and good.

I hate the Gophers and everything, but it is not funny when someone does something as weird as that. I hope it was just some stupid bet or something that he made with some teammates to act like an idiot. I hope Hirsch is in the lineup tonight.

The Sioux played one of the best teams in the country extremely well. Lammy played great except for the 42 seconds in OT. He should've been ready for the shot by Gauthier, but it was a great shot nonetheless.
I would hate to be the poor suckers who get the Sioux in the first round of the NCAA tourney. It also feels great to knock Wisco out of the NCAA tourney.

The problem I have with the Final Five being so close the Gopher country is that the Gophers get the best playing times. It's ridiculous that every year when they have the Final Five they put the Gophers at the night game. That's unfair.

If you would've quoted my entire entry you would've read that it said 1-3 inches for TONIGHT. They said 8-12 when it has passed.
Do you think North Dakota is better than Minnesota because you think you get more snow? If it wasn't for Grand Forks I would hate North Dakota like every other Minnesotan.

For God's sake go to the game man!!!! You're crazy if you don't. I go to college an hour south of the Cities and they said it was supposed to be the biggest storm of the year. Right now at 11:00 it's 30 and sunny. I'm leaving for the game at 5:00.
If you don't come to the game you'll regret it. You need to suck it up and do it for your team.

Most Goons know how to fight and based on his limited track record Vanilla can't so in my mind he is just another in a long line of dirty Gophers. The closest thing the Gophers have to a true Goon is UpChucko.

You are 100% correct. I have never seen a cheaper program than the Gophers. You can rip me all you want and say that I'm just saying that because I'm a Sioux fan, but if you actually take off your blinders and watch them play you will see it.

Face it, every team has goons, it would not be hockey otherwise. Do you want to watch a bunch of little girl hockey without the occasional "bad" hit? I have yet to see ANY team not have a player or two that makes/takes "stupid" penalties during the course of the year. Not condoning stupid/dangerous hits, but it happens, ask anyone who has played.

Hockey needs goons, I agree, but I don't want to see some headcase out there injuring other players. I like to see the occasional "bad" hit just as much as the other guy, but when you have goons like Vannelli who completely overreact it's not cool. Especially when he does it after the whistle.
Maybe using the term "goon" for Vannelli is inappropriate. Headcase would be a more of an appropriate label.
