  1. UND in the Big Ten. Ya you betchaa. Jab Chapman all ya want but if he would have been your Prez the nickname deal would have been resolved years ago and the Fighting Sioux name would remain.

No, we would be in that crap hole Summit League, and that other crap hole Missouri Valley Conference, just like the Thieving Thundering Terds, and our nickname and logo would have been sold

down the road, Chapman, he's the biggest joke the university system has known, who knows how much more he bilked.....

  2. Like those two hits are anywhere near comparable, what a jackass, like I told you earlier today, go bask in the glory of your basketball team's

loss to Kansas. Or better yet, continue to question the character of a 20 year old kid. Either way, you're a boob.

  3. Well gang, did you see the news at 6:00 p.m. on WDAZ, Faison was wearing a shirt with a Fighting Sioux logo, first time in public that I know of. Now,

President Kelley, if you want to show up in St. Paul and bask in the glory of the Hockey team, I suggest you do the same.

  4. Danny Kristo has been playing lights out since he got back, so the UMD dirtbags will find out, it isnt' just the pony line scoring goals. Kristo will have a big impact,

he's tougher now then he ever was. Duluth and their one line, good luck with that, 5 to 0, that's what I recall.

  5. Here's perspective, I recall running down the street in Milwaukee with Kendall Baker celebrating the National Championship in 1997. Mr. Baker, then

president of UND, was wearing a Fighting Sioux jersey like any other fan. Faison and Kelley seem to bask in the glory of the beloved hockey team, Kelley at the Final

Five two weekends ago, but no logos by either. I think it's clear which side of the fence those outsiders stand on. If they are not for it, then they are certainly against it,

they as individuals have decided which way to sway. Yes, they are directed by the "bosses" at the SBoHE, but quit pretending that they give a rip, ever.

  6. The end game will be about money, right now the money is beginning to be heard. The U of M can go F--- itself, what have they ever won in

basketball, football or anything outside of hockey. I can live with playing all of their natural instate rivals without them. The athletic department

at UND isn't likely to see a down time in Fighting Sioux hockey ever again, Ralph Engelstad made sure of that. Fighting Sioux forever.

  7. Erich Longie, Leigh Jennotte, Ron His Horse Is Thunder, Jesse Taken Alive, and others like them, if not for the Anti-nickname platform for which each

has opined, we wouldn't have a clue who these individuals were. My mother is an enrolled member of the Spirit Lake Sioux tribe, so I have a firm grasp

as to who these individuals are and what they represent, these four are not noteworthy, are hardly widely followed leaders, and quite frankly we've heard

all we need to hear from each of them. Nothing new, same old woes me, and same old undocumented complaints of hostility at UND. Power to the majority,

    and Fighting Sioux forever!

  8. Read the editorial in last thursdays GF Herald by Steve Fool Bear and you'll get a grasp of the problems at Standing Rock and it's

tribal government, as to how two or three people in the right governmental positions can stifle the tribe as a whole. That is the

one aspect of the entire argument that "white" North Dakota just refuses to understand. Instead of three years to win the approval, it

might actually take four, perhaps five, but that doesn't mean that the majority at Standing Rock isn't trying to mirror the folks at Spirit Lake.

  9. While the football team is formally known as the Fighting Sioux, I haven't recently seen any logo or nickname

imagery in the Alerus, or on the Alerus, so the NCAA will simply be refusing to allow a playoff game there because

the school maintains a native american nickname/logo. Also, no imagery in the Betty, just lots of ND. I remain

confident that there will be additional negotiation with the NCAA, if not, then the anti-trust suit will need to be brought.

Again, the intellectual property rights will need to be asserted, see the arguments of Gordie Caldis per the full page

ads he had, and tried to present to the SBoHE. There appears to be federal precedent, I've not seen anyone refute

his claims in a legal manner, only Grant Shaft and company choosing to ignore them.

  10. The only Gopher back to backs that mean anything today are the Friday and Saturday losses to UAA, how humbling is

is it to get swept by Anchorage. Moron and Gold, the heads must be hanging, hey those losses belong to the players, not

    just Lucia.
