  1. It was on the news here in Bismarck last night that G Aaron Walski of the Bismarck Bobcats signed with the Sioux for next year.  There wasn't anything in the paper here today though.  Anyone else see this or know anything about it?

Isn't he the goalie from Fargo North that made like 75 saves against Red River in the state championship game?

  2. When I saw that Suter had been added after his AHL team got beat out of the playoffs, I was wondering why ZP wasn't already there since Albany wasn't in the playoffs.

Great news, now I may have to pay for some more webcasting. US vs Canada later this week (actually tomorrow afternoon).

Is there a site with live score updates, I can't find one. ;)

edit: It looks like they just added to their site.

  3. However, I still wonder why there was no overhead view for video replay. That was the one angle the might have settled the issue one way or the other.

I too, was shocked that they didn't have an overhead view. I don't know if it would have changed anything, but I think it would have been the best angle for that situation.

  4. Am I pyschic??  ;)  I've known this for several weeks.  Can't remember where I read this but I knew this to be fact at least as far back as the UMD play off series. Mmm, maybe I should get my own cable show.

He "verbally" commited around the 1st of the year. This makes it official.

  5. There is actually advertising; however, wherever possible I try to program it to target only non-registered members (hits 90% of the visitors, but doesn't annoy those who contribute by participating). It's really not a big focus, though, because the relatively scarce resource of mine the site consumes disproportionately is time, not money.

I've definitely been pondering merchandise. Not so much as a revenue stream, but just because it would be cool. However, before doing anything like that on a large scale, I'd like to devise a logo of some sort (something reminiscent of the Sioux, but not a UND trademark), which I've just not yet gotten around to commissioning.

    How about this?

  6. Little bit on Oshie from Hockey's Future.

    Rising

T.J. Oshie / Warroad HS (MN)

Position: Center Height: 5-11 Weight: 190

Oshie is a skilled, hard-nosed forward who can score. He will play any style you throw at him. Oshie played with Niskanen in the same all-star game. He was the best forward on the ice in this game, as he contributed offensively, played with great determination, was physical and was a one-on-one threat whenever he was on the ice. He had an outstanding tournament and will be attending the University of North Dakota. Oshie has a great work ethic and is well coached.
