  13. Digger is off to a great start. Dan Ullsperger(5th in tackles) is becoming the next most productive linebacker in a hurry. I've seen more of him from sideline to sideline and in the secondary than any other LB. He seems very mobile for as big as he is. Also, unless I'm blind Gagner is a saftey and not a LB.
  14. Agree - the Sioux have got to find a way to get off to a solid start. It must suck as a player to outplay your opponent 50 of 60 minutes, know your on the more talented team, to walk off having lost.

    Mesa State

IMO UND fans should judge the success of this and every season on whether or not they win the NCC. Playoffs then Nat. Championship are the obvious goals after that that require many breaks along the way and even plain old luck. I was at the game and i think in the second half the Sioux looked better than at any time last year. Positives: Bowencamp led a comeback. Roland came back from disaster to gain 67 yds in the 2nd half. Lueck took another step towards being a big play guy we need. When you watch him play you sense he's just ready to blossom. (all recievers played well). The coaches have talked alot about him and Dan Ullsperger is the real deal at ILB. He's going to get better every week just like Digger did last year. Digger was a force Sat. and those two are going to be a dominant pair of LB's over the next 3 seasons. All is not gloom and doom. Dont judge this season until the conference race has been decided!!!
  16. those were outstanding defensive games

    Shutouts

on the UND site it said that the back to back shutouts the sioux recorded has'nt happened since '81. any idea what the all-time school record is for consecutive shutouts? i got a feeling the 3rd in a row is coming on sat.
  18. ok-what do we do to listen to the radio broadcast of the games on our computers? thanks in advance. also, Tom Irvin played only a couple plays on sat and then limped off never to return. is he ok?
  19. on the UND site, in the season preview article, it mentioned that freshman strouth(rb), ullsperger(ilb), wolf(dl), brennan(olb), hoffschneider(db) and bab-john(olb) would be candidates for playing time. how has it worked out thusfar for these 6?
  20. the rivalry with NDSU will work itself out w/o any help from posters. 72 hours until THIS years fighting sioux play. any insider info on how the boys look? who is going to excell this season? which young guys are going to conribute? etc.......
  21. Whats the word coming out of camp so far? Standouts? No-shows? Position changes? Less than 3 weeks till kickoff !!!
  22. Thrown off team for violation of unspecified team policy.
  23. The redshirts looked very good, did'nt they? LB's Babington-Johnson and Ullsperger look ready to contribute now!! The 3rd team o-line had no chance to block Bab-John and Ullsperger showed good speed running down a QB and knocking him out of bounds for a 2 yd loss. Tremendous potential for both, especially if they can add 10-15 lbs of muscle weight by fall. Bab-john around 200 and Ullsperger at 235 would be scary.
