  1. Coach Aaron Schneekloth has led Colorado of ECHL on a 15-game winning streak.
  2. Lamoureux brothers going against each other in Austrian League Playoffs.

  5. Derek Rodwell has five goals in his last four games for Colorado of ECHL.
  6. Wow. You might want to look at national champs' roster from last year. Check out current #4 Colgate's lineup. How about your own team's 2013-2014 players?
  7. Sweep highly unlikely, split will be tough. Should be a great series. Duluth has outshot UND four games in a row, all at the Ralph. Some very good goaltending allowed UND to go 2-1-1 in those games; two went to overtime. Not counting an empty net goal, UMD outscored UND 15-13. Duluth has some really good forwards, many that return next year.
  8. Brittain is a solid goalie playing on a team that defends well in prime scoring areas. His play is not nearly as strong as Scrivens' college performance. Never mind his recent record-setting performance, Scrivens worked hard to keep improving with the Marlies in the AHL before getting an opportunity in the NHL. He played well for Toronto last year and LA this year before getting traded to Edmonton. Brittain may develop in to an NHL calibre goaltender one day but he has a long way to go.
  9. There are several others - Sedins, Stewarts, Babyches, Sutters, etc.
  10. Thanks Goon - appreciate all the work you do on your blog.
  11. OK Captains of the Obvious, everybody knows the USHL is by far the best supplier of players to NCAA D-1...you seem to claim it as inside knowledge...sometimes some very good players come from other leagues like the NAHL...this too is common knowledge.
  12. You belittled SLU by saying that "if that was the best offer he got"...glad to hear you have endorsed Zane starting from here on out...you should let the coaches know because otherwise they will let the goalies' playing time go to whoever earns it, just as they did this year and every other year.
  13. You are giving advice to posters reacting "instantly" when you didn't know all the facts when you posted? ECAC with a track record not up to your standards? This is the here and now. This young man committed to a good program/school and you feel the need to dismiss it as sub-standard. Things change - there are plenty of programs that have been strong in the past that are not strong currently: Michigan State, Maine, LSSU come to mind. Some programs are showing much more potential now than they did in the past: UMass-Lowell, Union, Providence, Minnesota State, Western Michigan. Maybe some posters are tired of you and a few others who post with a "know-it-all" attitude and never hesitate to comment negatively about young players, including those in the UND program. Along with the "know-it-all" attitude comes times when you fail to recognize facts. Why make comments that belittle players and coaches? Did you play the game at a high level? Have you coached and recruited ?
  14. St. Lawrence is a great school...three all-Americans this year...part of ECAC that had two teams in the NCAA Championship game...why diss them?...USHL best league for sure, but sometimes very good players play in the NAHL.
  15. Lee being with the big club for some time this season was part of his negotiated deal. Collecting an NHL salary for several weeks and burning a year of entry level contract are incentives to sign.
  16. Wow...strongest D core in the nation? Forbort, Gleason, MacWilliam will all be missed...returning d-men should be a solid group to go along with some promising freshmen, but...please tell us who the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th strongest D cores in the nation are...goalies were not average at best, they were very good most of the time with a few games when bad goals went in...they were our best players in Grand Rapids.
  17. Goaltending - Gothberg has picked up three weekly awards lately hasn't he? Saunders has a .928 save % and a 1.75 GAA in last four starts. Not playing well ??
  18. Two ex-Alabama-Huntsville goalies are currently in the top four for two NHL teams. How many ex-UND goalies can say the same - zero? Saunders has NHL interest, do you think they are interested in average (at best) goalies? Lame post man.
  19. Gothberg a sixth rounder. 15/26 on roster are underclassmen.
  20. Eidsness and Dell were part of WCHA Championship teams and between them earned rookie, all-star, playoff MVP, tournamment all-star, all-American honors.
  21. UAA picked by most to finish 12th in WCHA, they looked very good on Saturday. No easy games in WCHA.
  22. ND will be missing Kristo, Knight, Rowney, O'Donnell, Parks and MacWilliam for UAA game. That's a lot of talent, experience and leadership missing. Not to mention that there will be very inexperienced players playing on special teams and perhaps in positions they are not used to. Also playing two men short of 18 skaters and in a time zone and rink they are not familiar with. The next night they will be playing the home team without Panzarella, Gaarder, Pattyn, Kristo and Parks, again playing shorthanded and missing the things that those players bring.
