Very good points. I guess there are reasons as to why both can be exciting in their own special ways. We are spoiled with the great college hockey we watch every weekend that I forget about the other poor teams in college.

A friend of mine invited me to the Wild game on Saturday, which at first sounded like fun, but the Sioux are playing. I didn't decline, however, I would rather be watching the Sioux on television at Sensers. I have a greater connection to the Sioux and care more about them winning than any pro team. It seems that NHL games, especially the Wild, they way they are not scoring are becoming very boring. The college game has more odd man rushes and just seems more entertaining. Another key factor is the fan support. Nobody ever cheers at an NHL game unless there is a goal or a fight. There is no motivating players through cheers or chants until the fans are restless. I just had to make a comment on this issue and am interested to hear if you all agree with me and have any explanations as to why college hockey is so much better.

This happens to us every year since we have such talented players. I don't think this is fair that they scheduled WCHA games over the time players are off playing in the world tournment. How did this happen? I just wanted to start a thread to see what your reactions were to this. I just got to thinking about this while listening to the game and Tim was talking about the scouts there to see Stafford. They will probably take him and we will have a tough time without these guys. I understand we are getting scoring from all lines, but this will still hurt us a little. I think they should give us a 2 goal advantage to start each game we play without these guys. I enjoy watching the players tally up points and this will come to a hault while they are off. I think the situation stinks that we lose them, but it's a good chance for them to showcase their talent at a higher level, which helps their stock rise and they represent our team. I am sure we will be just fine without them, but I would like it better if the schedule didn't infringe on playing for their current team. It makes us look good if we can win without them and if we lose we have an alabi, but this isn't right. I still think they should add more games to the WCHA schedule so that each team plays each other 4 times as well as non-conference by lengthening the schedule. Anyways I want to hear what you all think.

Why didn't USCHO have a recap from last night? I thought each arena had a reporter like we have PCM? I like reading those along with the newspaper articles.

The game will probably be closer tomorrow, right? I didn't get to watch it, but it sounded like DU's D was pretty bad. Can they fix that in time, or are we gonna sock it to 'em again?

I'll be there for tonights game. The last few times I have been there it has been packed. If you need a table for more than 4 by a TV, you should plan on arriving by 6:15-6:30. If not, go by yourself as I did once and arrive at game time and sit with any of the Sioux fans in attendance. I will probably have one of those annoying people with me that cheers against the Sioux just to be a menace, for that I am sorry.
