TH with accolades for Chyz on the PK.

I work three blocks from there. I will stop at pete's tomorrow and ask them to remove it. I will bring a coworker friend who play defensive end for the Sioux back in the 90's who lost his last game against the smelly bovines.
Be sure to provide them with a different logo.

Best netminder in the country, by a long shot.
Go ZANE!!!

For those who haven't seen inside Scheels Arena, I snapped this pic last week Friday.
It is a bit reminiscent of the BREC in Bemidji. Should be good viewing from all the seats.

Miami with an ENG - 4-0. WMU is ending their season tonight.
-
Western kicks one in, waived off. Still 3-0 Miami.
-
Looks like Quinnipiac just sent last season's National Champs to the showers, 3-1.
-
So....
If WMU wins tonight and next weekend, and gets the autobid, will there be still be 6 NCHC teams in the top 14? And thereby 7 in the tourney?

We have last change all next weekend, and if things go our way, last change the rest of the year.
I'll take it.
Especially if things go our way!

Depth has less importance in post season play, with the TV timeouts.
In terms of needing a 4th line, yes. In terms of adjusting to cover an injured player (or one ejected for some reason) depth is huge,
This team has depth like few others I've seen. Just look at the point spread across the players, and the points notched by the defense. Really impressive.
All of our lines can handle top lines from other teams. This depth gives us the ability to stay strong even into OT in the NCAA's.
(My green-glassed opinion)

I think its simply terrific that the last goal of the series was scored by a senior, Connor Gaarder, who somehow finds a way to elevate his game when we really need it. The guy is just fantastic.
No question that he puts himself in the right spot at the right time. He's working his role and making goals happen. I see Gaarder and trace him back through a long line of Sioux players...Lameroux, Watson, Ulmer, Romaniuk, Jackson, etc., etc., who work their tail off in NCAA hockey for the green team. He's a stud, and I'll leave it at that.

sucked, didn't it. Why the hurry to get off the air
Sucked the big one. As if fifteen to thirty seconds of a skate at home with the Cup is a deal-breaker for their broadcast.
Next?

My predictive abilities are suspect but I'll still say that tonight's game will be a close one. I'll say UND only wins by one or two goals.
Predictive abilities noted.

Yea i could see that lol. Thats my shin pad, give it back you jerk, I will go out there without my stick, I'll just take Zanes, hes an all star goalie, he doesnt need it, he usually looses it anyways lol
You raise a fair point. Would someone please duct tape Zane's stick to his arm?

As far as this year, he hasn't had a wraparound goal, has he?
Pretty sure he had a wrapper not too long ago. Friday night against Denver, I think.

I am going with a sweep for UND...
A sweep is certainly acceptable.

This Miami team has the rare combination of being a cheap dirty team but also embellishing everything. Really hope we are fully healthy going into next weekend after some of the antics from Miami tonight. Wasn't one of our better games but 3 of Miami's goals only happened because of lucky bounces and the 3rd goal was because they pushed Zane into the net which must have recently been made legal. Reffing was absolutely pathetic tonight some no excuse for not calling the cross check on the Schmaltz injury but they let Miami get away with the cross check all weekend and they sure took advantage of that. Hope that Western Michigan can put a physical beat down on Miami especially that clown Coleman. Only concern after this weekend is the powerplay the talent is there just gotta find the right combination and I'm sure lots of time will be spent on special teams work this week as that becomes even more important in postseason play.
Agreed, from what I saw there were a lot of "home ice" bounces, and some abysmal reffing. On the other hand, our PK got it's kiester handed to it, so we have work to do on defense as well as on the PP offensively.
Great to bring home the hardware from the weekend, and maybe it's also good to see this team get one more sting of defeat before tourney time starts.
Time for these Seniors to reflect, pull together, find their desire, and set their eyes upon the next goal.
GO SIOUX!!!

all is forgotten tonight if Nick's all right for me
Good point. Sure hope Nick is ok and just shaken up a bit.

Burnt ships on the shore, but we fly home with the cup.
