  1. That's the Chamber of Commerce version, they could have just said "Don't drop the F bomb or we'll throw your ass out, everything else we can live with." I believe in the direct approach.
  2. Good news for the Sioux penalty killers.
  3. One of them better not be named "Bamba".
  4. Bump for whoever missed it earlier.
  5. Been meaning to ask you Goon because I think you were around Devils Lake last weekend, have the northern geese started coming down yet? We haven't seen hardly any here, I think it's been too nice to drive them out of Canada. Local geese are getting too snaky, need some new blood!
  6. Read all about it under the "Sioux Name" forum which is under the "UND Community" section. That should keep you busy for...oh...most of the day.
  7. Avalanche-Blackhawks on Altitude tonight for whoever gets that channel. Good chance to watch Toews and the boys hang a loss on the Avs, who I can't stand (Flames fan that I am).
  8. Toews with a goal, looks pretty good so far.
  9. Blackhawks are on Versus starting right now, Toews is in the lineup. Thought some of you would want to know.
  10. And their end of the year tournament will be called "The Festival of Love" where the Gophers and their BFF Wisconsin and all the other teams will play with kindness and respect and try to get the automatic NCAA bid without hurting the other teams feelings. And after the tournament all the teams will gather at center ice and roast marshmallows over an open fire. *pukes*
  11. More and more the coaching world has gone from "What have you done for us?" to "What have you done for us lately?" The margin for error is shrinking all the time, about one down year and your "get out of jail free" card is used up. Remember a few years ago they wanted to run Joe Paterno out of town on a rail? JOE PATERNO!! Guy is pretty much the face of college football, and a couple subpar seasons had them calling for his head. Tough racket to be in these days.
  12. Fair enough, no sense arguing about this when we should be hammering on Sioux opponents. One thing I do have to say though, don't bunch me in with the Gopher fans "land of 10,000 excuses", Vikes lost 4 Super Bowls and they deserved to lose 4 Super Bowls. If there's one thing I am it's objective, good or bad. "And that's all I'm gonna say about that."
  13. Actually what I think is funny is how half the Packer fans have gone completely nuts over this Favre deal.... rather than focusing on what's important like the GB O-line being absolutely horrible, Rodgers (who I have as well as Grant on my fantasy team) holding on to the ball foreeeeeeeever, or McCarthy apparently oblivious to the fact that his QB is getting the crap knocked out of him and not calling more TE and RB dump-off passes or leaving a back in to chip pass rushers...all they can focus on is the Vikings and Favre. Worry about getting your own ship right, and deal with Favre in the playoffs if you both get there. Whole thing makes me laugh. As far as the whole NFL title thing which Packer fans feel like they HAVE to bring up every year they don't have the best team in the division, remember 1 thing...11 of those titles came either before Minnesota was in existance or when they were a crappy expansion team. They became a team in 1961 and sucked until about 68 or 69, which is about the time the Pack won their 2nd SB, so really since the Vikings became legit GB has won 1 and lost 1, the Vikings have lost 4 and should have had 2 more shots if it wasn't for that cheating Drew Pearson getting away with the biggest push-off in the history of the NFL in 1975 (which still pisses me off to this day) and Gary Anderson missing his only FG of the year when we really needed it in 1999. With my luck in football, they probably would have lost those too, but my point is Minnesota has been every bit as good as GB since you can compare apples-to-apples. But bottom line...what I thought would be a 3-team dogfight is turning into a runaway after Chicago and GB lost games they should have won today. Even you have to admit losing to TB is horsesh@t Big A.
  14. Diving in hockey is just like faking a charge in basketball, I've seen a few people warned but I can only remember one time where I actually saw someone T'd up for faking a charge. It's pretty much a no-downside maneuver, and like you said, who can blame them for using it if it works? But actually what I was thinking was that this could be something for the student section to jump on, make about 8 or 10 posters, each 2 foot square with a number on them like they do at diving or gymnastics meets...9.6, 8.4 , 5.2 (from the Russian judge), etc...and have the row over the penalty box hold them up after the first diving penalty. Just crossed my mind and thought it might be amusing.
  15. On a side note, both Bears and Packers get their a@@es kicked today (Tampa Bay, seriously?), Vikings could clinch in November if this keeps up.
  16. I was thinking that same thing last night, with St. Cloud and Denver coming up it appears Dell is going to be an occasional play at best. I thought BE played well this weekend, giving up 3 goals in 2 road games is good no matter how you slice it, and he didn't get caught out of position beside the net more than once or twice compared to quite a bit in the earlier series. So overall a pretty good showing I would say.
  17. Nice to see a spirited Saturday performance for a change, good momentum for St. Cloud.
  18. Ya, better than the 3rd period last night
  19. I had that once last night too, close everything and start over.
  20. It's working fine, make sure you have the Tech one.
  21. Only pulls out the black for special occasions, you might be right.
  22. I figured Dell would be a lock for tonight.
  23. Boy does that bring back bad memories of the Goof series.
  24. Ok, thanks. Hey, Gregoire is my dog tonight, atta boy!
