It was stupid, but stupid in an AWESOME way. lol. I was pretty little when i used to chase him around at the old Engelstad. I'll see if my mom has a picture of me with it that I can scan in so those of you who have never seen it can witness its greatness!

They should just bring back the Bleacher (sp?) Creature so that nobody could say our "mascot" was hostile or abusive.

I am worried that they keep pushing this "force of the north" crap because thats what they wanna make it when we end up having to change the name. THAT WOULD SUCK. either way. I hope the name never changes, but if it does, they better take student and alumni suggestions and have the students and alumni vote on a new name.

Ok, i was under the assumption that lower bowl tickets for something like the frozen four would cost more than nosebleeds. But since I was unable to go, it was just a guess.

that would have cost them quite a bit in tickets. Also, as for the people giving things up to be in the band, if the hockey game isn't where they would be anyways, then why shouldn't they be upper deck? I never had a problem hearing the band in the lower bowl either. Aren't the miced anyway? I always appreciated the section of "grown-ups" to the right of us in the student section that would ask the ushers why we couldn't be standing. thanks!

my bet is they'll still be drinking. just trying a little harder not to be caught.

I am glad that the cheerleaders won't be gone, never bothered me, and i have enjoyed them from time to time. I remember being super surprised the first time i saw one do a somewhat figure skating like move through the center one night. As for the band and whatnot, I think they should be moved back up to the upper deck. Give students back those seats, and go back away from season tickets. Thats what made the lower deck rowdy before, the diehards would wait in line for hours before every game to get lower deck. It's too easy for people who don't deserve the tickets to get lower bowl season tickets now. Either way, I'm graduating in may, so I won't be directly affected

Its part painted and part colored inserts. The SIOUX in both end zones is painted, as well as each yard tick, the alerus logo, and the yard thick rectangle along the edges. All the normal lines are colored turf.
