Look at Miller. Should be 2nd line talent and now can't get on the ice because he has be aweful this year. And why doesn't Marto play every night over Jones? I question a true team leader in the locker room to hold the others accountable. Toews and Fabian seemed to have everyone's ear last year.

Will be out in western ND bow and pheasant hunting next weekend. I'll take a split, but SCSU has more offensive power than most teams we've seen so far. Getting swept wouldn't shock me. A win on the road in the GREEN sweaters would be nice though on Friday!!!

We have a solid, not great, team. This team will not get to where they want to go--FF in Denver unless Chorney and co. start playing up to their talent level. To say they have regressed as a D unit is an understatement. And Oshie is still not 100% after 3 weeks off which is not good. Will UND make the big tourney--yes, but after that??? Potential should start becoming strong play on the ice at this point in the season

Give up the tying goal with 3 pre-season All-Americans on the ice I know it is "early" and "still December" but come on
-
Quick 2 cents--the D corps overall have been more than disappointing with Chorney leading that pack What was supposed to be this team's strenghth is now it's weakness. Offense will be inconsistant from game to game, but please explain to me how Chorney and the rest of the D crew can look so aweful at times?? If JPL doesn't play as well as he has so far this team is 6-10-1 at best.

Outplayed? Disagree. Thought the Sioux carried play most of the game and were the better team last night. Both goalies played very well. Thought Radke's line looked great for the most part. As did Trupp's line. D was again spotty. Love Chorney but still waiting for him to play to last year's level. He didn't look real good again last night. I thought Oshie still looked a step slower than normal--lingering injury? PK look good. PP not so much. Thought it was finally a good solid, not great, 60 minutes of hockey by UND. Great to see. Expect them to be sharper tonight. With the play of Martens, Radke and Zajac and Malone out is Forney ever going to see the ice? Just love watching Genoway. And JPL...please! I saw better acting at my daughter's 1st grade Christmas program 2 week ago. She thought he was dead and almost started to cry! UNH is solid and we were/are better--bottom line. Hope to say the same thing later tonight. SWEEP!!!

Too bad his players had to hear about it thru media outlets instead of Dale himself

Throw in some dippin' dots for me and I'll come alone!

Exactly. These games are huge. A quality road win for NH would be big for them and a sweep for us would be equally as big. JPL plays both games this weekend.
-
I haven't missed a home game this year so I don't know what to make of this...but the t-shirt and the jersey she'll love!

What injury?? Thought his shoulder/ankle issues were behind him?
-
Per Brad's blog, Malone is out for this weekend. Played hurt Sat. night vs. Minn. after getting dinged on Fri. and 20 days later can't go? Must be more serious than originally thought. Would like to see Forney get another crack at the line-up then this weekend. Normally take my 7 year old daughter to Sat. night games and she has yet to see UND win this year. She is going tomorrow hoping to see a Sioux W

And Belfield's DQ makes the best chocolate covered strawberry blizzard anywhere or at least that side of the Little Missouri. -

Stop...we don't want an unbiased NA's perspective on reservations to filter into this discussion -

Subtle , but very persuading and effective ! -
Interesting, but don't think for a second those NAs that want their independence from the US will cut off their cash flow from the government they are supposedly wanting independence from. But I am sure TRex will have some scientific study as to why this is a legitimate right by those sited in the article?

We are the FIGHTING SIOUX!! That conveys what WE are at UND. The general public thinks so, the majority of those on the reservations thinks so, but a few PC (Poli-Sci educated??) objectioners are once again trying to ram down the throats of the majority an "I'll show you" agenda. Read thru the many threads on this topic, read the many articles sited that show that the real issues of those involved, i.e. NAs, are once again being glossed over so a few who feel they have been "abused" can become powerful. Racist logo is an OPINION by some. You really should be a little more objective from a societial value standpoint when trying to argue your case. When those who are claiming racist logo are the same ones that are basically leading their own people down the same road of unchangable dispair and hopelessness, I will voice my opinion, as will others, on how obsurd we feel this nickname/logo argument has become when you look at the totality of what NAs are dealing with. Come to me with some quote or study on how His Horse Is Thunder is going to provide food for undernurished children, or proper heat for the elderly on the reservation without saying "we need more money" and I'll listen to you, but in the mean time you come across as some arrogant, look at my degree, pinhead PC liberal.

Individuals of character still matter in team sports.

There were times in the Gophs series where Okposo physically looked like a man among boys. Hate to see top end talent leave the WCHA for whatever reason, but if the WCHA officials would let some of these skilled guys skate, they might stick around for us to enjoy longer than a year or 2.

Heck, go to Minnesota or Mass. A couple of the most "socialized" healthcare industries in the US. It's a joke! I practice in Fargo but dealing with MN healthcare plans makes me want to start saying "Welcome to Starbucks. What can I get for you this morning..." Free! I always like that one, but the abuse, as you mentioned, is the main problem. Going to the ER because you threw up after gorging your face after Thanksgiving dinner?? But can't keep up with regualr follow-up for your diabetes because you are too busy! Lack of personal responsibility/accountability for ones own health always amazes me. Get lung cancer because you have smoked for 40+ years and can't figure out why the Dr. said there is nothing we can do to help you--it's terminal and you have 6 months to live. Healthcare has become a fast food mentality.

AP=adequate perfomance? 14 carries for 3 yards vs. SF!! He is no Ryan Grant?!

And that is not verbatim . Did I do ok, PCM

Used to shoot pool, watch Days of Our Lives and eat lunch over the noon hour with those 2 at the Union back in the day. Both look the same when I run into them as they did in the late '80s. K-Dawg's boiler is alittle bigger, but I think Slim Fast is out of the question for him. UND icons!!

Agree, my original post that Malone will be solid as is Kaip, was to point out that I see him being a 4 year guy who will bring more than physical skills down the road. Malone is physical, skates well and will score more down the road. But from what I've seen of him, he seems to have some of those character triats that could lead to an "A" or "C" on his jersey down the road. I think Kaip is great and is what good teams need to be great at the end of the year. I can see Malone doing/being the same.
