Do you have any tickets for the Gopher game. I would buy tickets for either night. Please PM. Thank you!!

  2. Same in NW North Dakota, directtv has said they'd have them for years, but still do not. Dish not only has them, but gives us the HD version also.

Hi Sprig....I just recently had my FTA satellite installed by Pete and he told me to join some of the satellite forums on the PSB website. Where can I find the ones that Sioux fans post too? I have never used my FTA satellite and I want to make sure I know how to do the scan and save it for all Sioux games. I'll be able to practice this weekend as we have the football game on Saturday

  3. To me it seems he's trying to dance on the fine line of reminding everyone in the school community that the University is about more than a nickname, and that is what school representatives should keep in mind. Personal opinions are fine, but keep your primary focus on non-nickname related subjects.

I think he's speaking to both sides.

I think Kelly is a smart guy and he knows where the deep pockets are within the University alumni. Keeping the Sioux nickname will keep those deep pocket alums happy! I think everyone at UND and outside the school understands how emtional the nickname really is. If it changes, I don't think Kelly or anyone at UND will be able to perpare for the backlash. It will come no matter what the outcome is....but less backlash if we keep the Sioux!!

  4. The vast majority of schools will follow the direction of the NCAA. If both tribes support the nickname the NCAA will approve use of the nickname. Most schools would then schedule games with UND. Minnesota is a question mark. They have chosen not to schedule games in the major sports other than hockey. I believe that some of the other UND sports have competed against Minnesota. And if the NCAA approves the nickname there is a good chance Minnesota would change their policy, but that is not guaranteed.

I have heard the same thing as well. If the NCAA approves the Sioux nickname, U of M would consider playing UND. I have also heard Iowa and Wisconsin would also play us as well as long as the NCAA approves the use of the nickname.

  5. That wasn't a potshot, I THANKED you.

Again, I'm not the only one who ever stirs the pot around here and this thread is proof. Once again I would like to thank you for making that so perfectly clear. :D

PS - I think you're funny too.

Quick Question....what does any of this have to do with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe vote or nickname?

  6. Fox Sports Alternate B has the games in Salisbury, unfortunately I have to be in Burlington and Baltimore for my overnights.

In the Twin Cities, the Big Ten Network is showing College Hockey games starting on Friday at 7pm CST and Saturday at 7pm CST.

I'm not sure if the Big Ten is covering the WCHA Final Five with FSN, but there will be some college hockey game on TV on the Big Ten Network.

This also means that Firday and Saturday nights game would be in HD!!!

For Sioux fans outside of MN/ND, could you pick up the Big Ten Network feed if it is indeed they are showing WCHA hockey? Just trying to help Sioux fans out with this information.

Looks like I was wrong....it will be the CCHA games!! Sorry!!!!

  7. The Gophers getting the Friday night game actually makes sense from an attendance and TV ratings perspective. Not to mention it would actually give a potential #1 seeded Sioux team an advantage to play the winner of Thursday night's 4 vs. 5 game on short rest Friday afternoon. Nothing to cry about.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is a REALY good chance that the Sioux play Friday night! We have the #1 seed and would play whoever wins the play-in game on Thursday. And, since the Goofs finshed 5th, they would be the team playing Thursday which (if they won) would match up against us, THE SIOUX!

So what is the big? We're more than likely playing Friday night!?!?! :whistling:

ALTHOUGH, I'd rather focus on this weekends games and then worry about the Final Five. Sweep Tech!! GO SIOUX!

  8. I wasn't sure where to post this, but I thought since the article talks about the WCHA, here it is. What's funny about this article is that if you read all the comments at the end, it's Sioux fans and Gophers fans going at it. The Star Trib published this today, so many of the SS.com members I'm sure have read it. In case you didn't....here it is. Also, check out all the comments....you would think we're playing the Gophers this weekend, not Bucky!!! GO SIOUX!!! :silly:

  9. This is Cheesmovers response:

"We are preparing to show the games this weekend at all four Joe Senser's locations (Roseville, Bloomington, Eagan and Plymouth.

We will attempt to tune the game in on satellite and if we are successful we will show it. No guarantee until right before the game when the university starts the broadcast.

We appreciate all the Sioux fans coming in to Joe Senser's to watch Sioux sports. "

Seeing as Sensors has been able to get all these types of satellite feeds in the past, the odds are very high they will have it.

Thanks for the report back BigChief! I'll be at the Sensors in Bloomington Friday night! GO SIOUX!!!

  10. Here it is, from Jamie at the REA:

    Echostar 9 - 121 w

    Ku Band - Downlink Frequency: 11840.1250 V

    L Band - Downlink Frequency: 1090.1250 V

    Symbol Rate 4.88

    FEC 3/4

    Hope you're all motorized

If you scan prior to power up, you'll find quite of few scrambled dishnetwork channels on this satellite.

So does this mean Sensor's can get the game? I thought someone on this board might know more about the satellite feed Sensor's has or I guess I could pick up the phone and call Friday.....
