  1. Good point.

I suggest we do what Fairbanks did. They fired their coach, hired another, that one quit before ever taking to the ice, hired another one, that one pissed of all of the players and administration (and I guess the community as well), recruited around 20 players for 2008, forced what good players they had out, and then got fired.

    Talk about a train wreck.

Now that's a program that we could be proud of. :)

  2. What's wrong? Nothing now. Just in the past, threads like these degraded so fast that I did not expect it to go in the direction it has.

I don't think this thread needs to be closed now... not that I have the power to close threads anyhow. :)

I see where you're coming from and I don't know what went on before I was ever a member. Like I said, there is a line between "let's start a thread to bash someone" and "let's start a thread and show some frustration."

With that being said, they need to fire Hak, cut all scholarships and cancel incoming recruits. :)

Or maybe just lobby to be on the opposite side of the bracket than BC. :)

  3. Because up until this season, Walski was a practice goaltender. And it didn't matter who was playing goal at the time, our defense and offense were nonexistant so it wouldn't have mattered anyways.

And Eades after the game told us why: "Lamoreaux got us here."

Yes, your rational is somewhat sound (as proved by Michigan doing so and win...oh wait), but I don't think Walski would have done anything.

Please close this thread before it turns into another Hakstol or JPL bashing thread. Thanks.

I don't get it that about half of the threads that I've been reading is someone calling for it to be closed. I understand closing something like a thread created with the intention to bash Finley, but what's wrong with a thread like this? Fans have the right to be upset. You can be a true Sioux fan without being blindly faithful.

  4. You don't have to be happy, but you don't have to fly off the handle either.

    Flying off the handle includes:

    1. Scapegoating - Any time you blame an entire team's problem in a loss on one or two players, that's scapegoating. Please don't take offense to this, but anyone (not meaning you specifically) who scapegoats is retarded and not a true fan.

    2. Calling for administrative changes - The coach can only do so much. He didn't cause Genoway to make mistakes, or the Sioux to play so poorly. The team played like crap. Not Hakstol's fault. He set up the game plan and trained them according to what SHOULD have been able to put the Sioux in position to win. The fact that the team let down the game plan isn't his fault.

Wouldn't singling out Chay, make that scapegoating?

  5. With people up in arms us losing 3 years in a row to bc, would you rather suffer michigan's fate?

they lost to a conference team they had beaten twice this year and was 4th in the ccha.

Would we rather lost to a SCSU or Mankato in this game?

    There are no good losses.

Doesn't matter who it was. They are done.

  6. I am so looking forward to seeing the Jr. Toews. What can anyone tell me about him. Is he a one and done kind of guy?? Is he gonna leave us early like Zack, (before the tourney is over)or is he gonna be a guy who will give us a few years.

Who else has some promising prospects. Any sizable defensemen?

    What am I missing?

  7. you know, I just wanted to point out that everyone is pointing at the defense. Yes, they did have a breakdown and made mistakes where they shouldnt...but where were the forwards...Osh and Dunc barely moved the puck the whole game. The offensive lines looked terrible, they couldnt move the puck at all much less generate more than a couple decent scoring chances. My point is, the TEAM lost the game, not Lammy, not Finley, not the D...the TEAM lost. Time to look forward to a good 08-09 season with some promising freshman soon to be sophmores!

That's what Hak gets for putting Kozek on the top line.

    What a stupid idea! :D

  8. My 4 year old is still playing hockey like we are going to win as well. Oh for the ignorance of youth!!

    BD

My 5 year old poodle was shaking and scared after a loud "F***" on the first goal.

    I haven't seen her since.

  9. I think I am to blame for that. Within 10 seconds of turning on the game, CO put in the OT goal. Bad luck am I.

Sure. And I bet that you've watched this game from the start?

Maybe you should turn it off.

  10. I know in 1997 the Sioux scored 5 goals in the 2nd period vs Boston U. So maybe they could score 7 but then maybe we won't see any snow tonight.

I honestly don't know if they can even get 7 shots on goal in the third.

  11. whats sad for me.....the Canes did this EXACT same thing this year.......ive had to endure watch playing so well going down the stretch and then laying an egg in a HUGE game twice now.....

I hear that. I had to endure the Colorado OT win over the Wild last night and today was supposed to make me feel better.

  12. embarassing... I bet duncs and oshie didn't have this in mind when they decided to come back.

What an all around embarrasment... where's the pride?

I bet we don't see a pact between anyone this year.

  13. 1 more goal and ya give Lams the hook, to save some dignity.

Giving up 5 in 30 minutes after the early part of the game is flashing how you're the best goalie with the best defense?

    Dignity is gone.

  14. They might as well have taken the 3rd period vs Wis off too.

I was sure that the season was done and was accepting it.

They make the comeback and get me excited for 2 weeks and then play like a pee wee team again.

  15. Well folks our season is officially over. I'm sorry I love the Sioux. But I just don't foresee coming from behind 5 goals is possible.

This game has been very disappointing. I'm still going to watch but I've lost hope.

    It was over at 3-0.

It's really great to follow a team very closely only to watch a bunch of 5 ft eastern ****** destroy them on national tv year after year.
